Just moved to the area looking for things to do

Recently moved to Euless and I have no friends in the area. I’m trying to find places where I can make friends and just have places to go over the weekends. I’m starting to lose my mind just talking to my dog. Any suggestions would be amazing

What are your interests? Being in Euless makes things a little more difficult, it's mostly families out there.

Biggest interests are anything outdoors and being active but I’d like to find more things that could peak my interest

You have to become a regular somewhere. A coffee shop, a climbing gym, a bar trivia night. Familiarity leads to conversations. People in the mid cities are friendly but not pushy. You have to make the first move a few times. It gets easier.

if you like to climb, the Movement gyms are great. they have lots of social nights as well.

That is the challenge. Euless is great for schools and quiet streets. Not great for nightlife or singles. OP might need to drive to Fort Worth or Las Colinas for more action.

Female here! I moved to Dallas last September and need more friends. The friends I’ve made all have clashing schedules. I’m bored af on weekends, just my dog and I as well.

If you’re looking for a fun way to get acquainted with the Dallas area, there will be a real life game starting soon that will have participants exploring Dallas and the surrounding area. It will be a bit of a cross between “hide-and-seek” and a treasure hunt. Free to play and there will be cash and prizes for those who win. Could be a great way to familiarize yourself with the Dallas area and some of the amazing public places within it (like parks, nature trails and city centers). There will also be a community component to it where you can collaborate with other people who will be participating in it and trying to figure out where things have been hidden.
Head over to r/dallassidequest if you’re interested.

Check out River Legacy park if you want to get outside. Park at the mountainbike trails and you can hike or ride about 10 miles of trail. Or hit the pavement trail and walk east. Lots of woods and it’s on the river. We see bobcats all the time and they are used to people. We are in hurst so I can probably point you in the right direction for things.
