What’s something some you do/did for others as a small act of kindness type thing?

Last week I was helping out on a response shift(police). My core role doesn’t see me doing very much traditional police work at the moment.
Anyway I got to be dealing with a guy who was in a bit of a mental health spiral for various reasons, so I went into my “emergency” stash of food and gave him some sweets and crisps and stuff, nipped back to the station for some tea and coffee and a couple porridge pots.
The youngster I was working with was shocked, completely unaware you could just give someone a bag of Haribos.
