PANC - Ted Steven's International
Ok_Worth_2515@reddit
Oh tysm, time to do it in msfs now...
Sh00ter80@reddit
Hero.
Ambassador-613@reddit
At some point you just aim to keep it level and let the curvature of the plant do the rest.
Phog_of_War@reddit
It's one of those aircraft that you always feel like you have to will it off the ground. Suddenly it's airborne and it breaks your brain because it surely doesn't have the ground speed to be off the ground yet. Right?
codeinelord@reddit
I remember that same feeling watching C5s take off out of Patrick back in the day, mind boggling when they just become airborne
fontimus@reddit
Surprisingly, I felt this way when I saw a B1 bomber fly directly over my head in rural Utah when I was on a hike at 9,000ft. It was only about a thousand feet overhead of me, and man... pictures don't do it justice, that thing is a beast of a plane. And LOUD. Shook the entire plateau.
orchiddoctor@reddit
Saw a C5 at an air show at Seymour Johnson as a teenager. Absolutely broke my brain. What a beast.
codeinelord@reddit
What a memory! There is nothing like the sound of the old turbofan engines droning overhead, I think the C5 was my first favorite plane lol
Lava_Lamp_Glob@reddit
It's just so immense that it doesn't look like it's going fast
S1lentLucidity@reddit
Ole girl took her time!
orchiddoctor@reddit
I’d be so starstruck to see it in person! Thank you for editing and sharing again 🥲🤘
Candle-Jolly@reddit
"Not sideways" landscape mode is much appreciated for those of us who are old-fashioned and still use desktop computers (or tv screens) so that videos don't look like we're watching through a slightly-ajar door

This is some stunning footage. Did you shoot this in 24p?
RosieDear@reddit
That is just plain beautiful.
jhill9901@reddit
plane😉
type_E@reddit
Do you think there would be a demand in the future for a huge cargo plane that the payload can just drive into and out of, when the AN-124s inevitably give out from age? The 747 has the nose door but a car can't drive into it.
TheWingalingDragon@reddit (OP)
The future for huge cargo plane payload is in Ekranoplans
type_E@reddit
The Liberty Lifter is kaput tho
We'll get em next time
Which_Material_3100@reddit
Perfect! Thank you!
Right_Sugar_4007@reddit
What field is that? ANC?
TheWingalingDragon@reddit (OP)
Indeed, PANC Rwy 7R departure
Right_Sugar_4007@reddit
Thanks, been there a lot as KLM cabin crew in the nineties
XLB135@reddit
Ha, so cool. I saw this exact tail number at PAE earlier this year.
Electrical_Report458@reddit
Cameras always make the mountains look close to the departure end of the 7s, but they’re not. Flying in and out of PANC is fun.
kan84@reddit
Beautiful
midsprat123@reddit
Wow - OP
I don’t know the last time I saw someone re-post something
And do it the right way
Bravo, Bravo.
TheWingalingDragon@reddit (OP)
Lessons were learned.
My inbox has suffered on this day from my folly.
I did get a good chuckle out of everyone's reactions.
midsprat123@reddit
I’m glad you have a sense of humor!
realdjjmc@reddit
We have Smirnoff
heybuggybug@reddit
