Can I report a dodgy vehicle parked in our en-block garages?

They first removed to move on when asked, then I threatened to call the police. After I went out of sight with the phone to my ear, they waited a minute or two before leaving. I assume it would be good for police to have a record of it? Incidentally, I put the number plate into mot checker and the dvla has the colour as different. 3 blokes in a car, one lying down in the back seat. My kids were cycling around the area which made me get pretty angry pretty fast when they argued it a free country.

The police will likely say "private land, it's a civil matter" Do you know they don't own/rent one of the houses?

It is taxed. I asked them where there were from, expecting a house number if they were from here, and they said a neighbouring council. When I asked why are they here, “picking up a mate”, so I asked where there mate lives, and that’s when they started to get more aggressive, claiming it’s a free country and they can park anywhere they want. Obviously it’s private property and kids were playing there so fair to say I expressed my desire to have them leave. I more want to report the car so if it becomes frequent, or if that vehicle is seen near garage break-ins or drug use then there would be more history and knowledge for the police to work with.

My car is registered as blue, but anyone looking at it would say its grey. It has a very slight blue tint, and that is the colour the manufacturer reported when they registered it.

This was registered as red, but it looked black. Might have been nothing, but with the way they talked and acted, it raised my suspicions

As long as they move when you need access to the public highway and arrnt doing anything bad. Looking dodgy wont illicit any action against them. If you really want to be petty, get a deck chair and a speaker and just go sit down at the garages and blast Classic FM out. If they moan, its a free country, right? Chances are theyll fuck off else where.

There is a chance they were drug dealing or something like that. There is also a very good chance it was just three young lads waiting for a mate. Maybe they are a bit sick of being harrased just because of their age and/or the way they look. Unless OP has more than just "they look dodgy", I suggest they mind their own business.

Honestly, the parking is a civil matter and police won’t care about someone being awkward in private garages. The DVLA colour mismatch might be worth logging, but even that doesn’t mean much. It could just be a wrapped car or an outdated record. Report it on 101 if you want a record, but don’t expect anything to happen.
