How do you hear about fly-ins

How do yall usually find fly-in events like pancake breakfasts. Is there a website most events use, or is it mostly just word of mouth through local airports and Facebook groups?
Trying to get out and do more GA stuff this summer.

SocialFlight.com doesn’t have all, but seems to have a larger list than most

Facebook groups are a good start. “Flights above the (insert region of the US)” are one of the most popular. FATPNW is huge in the Northwest.
The WA state pilot’s association also has an events page on their site and most fly ins or other activities will be listed. You may have something similar in your state.

FATPNW is the original “flights above” group.

Oh neat, I didn’t know that.

I often see notices for them posted on bulletin boards at my home airport. Otherwise, I mostly hear about them from friends or through word of mouth. On a couple of occasions I’ve even buzzed over a ski fly-in and gotten waved in by folks below.

Look around to find local EAA Chapters in your area, and then backtrack to find if they have any kind of social media presence. Some chapters are much better at social media than others, but if you're looking for information on Fly-Ins or similar events in the area, it's a good place to start. Heck, there's also a chance that someone put up flyers for upcoming events on the bulletin board of the FBO at your local airport if you have one.

Check facebook and airport bulletin boards. Many areas have local pilot groups (either mailing lists or facebook or other social media presence). For example here we have the Carolina Aviators Network which publicizes a lot of the events.
