Complete garbage with a uncontrollable burst "feature". Lots of jams then a wild 5 to 10 round burst followed by a jam. We worked on it and replaced all the parts we could scrounge. Still sucked and we sold it at a gun show to a guy that knew what to expect and wanted it anyway.
From what i hear currently the later generation of them had a bad feed ramp angle you might try smoothing it out ? Hope that helps and do me a favor don’t sell rock 🤷🏻♂️👍🏻
I used to carry one in my backpack when i was a no good kid selling rock in Brooklyn . Between the ass quality of rimfire ammo of the day and the awful 25 round magazine that came with the thing i am sure glad i never had to rely upon it
I had one it was great! I wish i still had it. I only sold it because I broke the firing pin and couldn't find a replacement. Now replacement firing pins are easy to find.

I have two of them. Neither have ever worked well. I still love the look and the idea; just wish someone could execute it properly.

Tec 22. Interrec. Same folks that made the Tec 9 This takes 10/22 mags or drums
NoOnesSaint@reddit
Damn, seen a few but never knew they could take the drumbs or I would have got one.
Ok_Yesterday_4137@reddit
They don’t feed for shit. The ram line drums of the era sucked. And the gun got dirty quick. The plastic would get worn and things got sloppy too
NoOnesSaint@reddit
Sounds like most 22s lol but yeah maybe not the best
Embarrassed-Bench392@reddit
And made the Protec 25.

Tec 22 they were jamomatics but very cool looking

Ruger Mags are the key to success
DrBadGuy1073@reddit
Still jam-o-matics! Mine can't get thru a full mag if it's not a 10 rounder!

I'll have to get me dremel out!
Electronic_Camera251@reddit
I think in the original design there was a metal feed ramp and they switched to no metal insert
Stranded_In_Limbo@reddit
That's a shame

Don’t know what it is but I know it looks cool AF

Thank you all for the quick response.
Any of ya’ll have experience with them? Would like to hear your thoughts!
deuce-deuce-pap@reddit
I have a Tec 22 and it’s actually very reliable as long as my mags are clean. Mileage may vary.
RandoAtReddit@reddit
Had one years ago, never got more than a half dozen in a row regardless of what I tried.
Resident_Skroob@reddit
Ha. Yeah, I shot a FA one as a kid (coolest scout troop leader ever). They're almost as reliable as a T9.
...which is to say, holy shit, they're unreliable. It's a conversation piece that happens to have a barrel. Not a functional firearm.
Comfortable-Story-53@reddit
That's a great line, I'm going to use it! Conversation piece with a barrel 🤣🤣🤣

They suck. But they're cool!
Stranded_In_Limbo@reddit
I have one!
Keep some spare parts handy and it's fine-ish. Ruger Mags are the key.

My friends’ Tec-22 went full auto once the sear wore down.
