Do none of these people ever read researches and stats connected to migration and crime? I know Meloni and her like don't care about statistics and the actual real world problems, but I thought surely not all EU leaders can be stupid enough to believe crime in first generation migrants is a problem, despite all the evidence to the contrary... Turns out yes, they can be that stupid.

They're all dancing to the tune of anti-migrant rhetoric nite. Facts don't matter, they just want to show their voters they're doing something to stop the "invaders". Hoping that way they keep the votes. Bad strategy all the way through but this is what's driving these policies.

It's somewhat expected in a democracy that politicians do what their voters expect of them even if it's BS .... like it or not our elected officials are a mirror to our society ...
Problems happen .... problems are complex ... blame minorities because that's what people understand ... get elected ... fuck up .... "correct course" .... don't change anything of substance ... rinse and repeat ....
.... I see this cycle of BS since I live on this planet and I get tired.

Yeah in a way. Democracy would work better if the media wasn't owned by oligarchs pushing the most idiotic narratives to put the blame on minorities.
