I love having all my drawer-based clothing rolled up neatly, it’s like my brain is being lovingly petted when I see them stacked perfectly. I also love a Thursday night house clean, getting clothes washed, dried and ironed, everywhere hoovered, worktops, table, windowsills sprayed down, it means I wake up on Friday in an amazing mood knowing my weekend starts the moment I get home from work with nothing to do 👌 Cleaning as I go when cooking brings me joy too, sitting down to eat knowing all the pots are cleaned, dried and back in the cupboard is my adult high… 21 year old me is so disappointed…37 year old me doesn’t give a damn 😎

I enjoy staring at my plants, yeah I’m checking if they need watering too, but I’m also silently judging them. Lording over them like a shit manager, willing them to do more. Been in my greenhouse this morning and I’m really disappointed with the scotch bonnet and habanero’s performance, they need to learn a thing or 2 from the fiery toungues, lemon habanero, jalapeño and cayenne plants, they are pulling their weight.

Lording over and judging your plants is a totally necessary chore imo 😂 Sounds like it’s more of a hot house than a greenhouse! Nice selection of chilli’s, hope the scotch bonnets and habaneros buck their ideas up

I don’t get to do it much now but when I had my first baby I loved ironing muslin cloths. It’s satisfying and they make such cute little colourful rectangles that fit perfectly into a box. I liked getting the folded edges as crisp as I could. She was a constantly awake, refused-to-be-put-down baby and I had to wear her in a sling almost 24/7, so I used to iron all the muslin cloths in the middle of the night to stay awake since I was already standing up.

This happens to me. I always check after each shower I take tho and love pulling it out. Few months ago I wasn’t very well and didn’t check each time. Was just getting in the shower, doing the bare minimum and straight back out again so when I checked the first time after not checking for a while there was a good clump of it!

No, Ive got possibly the straightest hair in the world, i do wear it up 24:7 outside of washing my hair though because im a chef and i cant wash it everyday without killing my hair but also my hair smells of food

When I clean the kitchen sink/tap I dry it with a teatowel so it really shines and has no smears on it. I could just clean it and leave it to dry, same with the hob and the microwave, I want them gleaming

If you have proper caulking then yes, this will peel it up and allow moisture/grime in. But if you're due a recaulk then get in there and remove all the old caulk first by all means

If your caulk is intact, then a corner of a regular washing sponge will do the job. Use a new sponge so the scouring side is nice and crisp

I clean my entire home and change bedding and blankets etc on a Sunday. I hate it, but I love it because I stick on podcasts the entire time and it’s an immersive experience - just myself and a podcast. I’m considering audiobooks too to really have that one on one experience. But I would always say these ‘chores’ are shit until you change your mindset on them and switch it up and find something you like about it. Even if you think to get it done and then go and eat your favourite food after - it gives you something to look forward to so that ‘adrenaline’ to get it done is kind of enjoyable

Ive recently charged my headphones that have been dead for about 6 months and put them to clean on Thursday and i was unstoppable. I didn’t just do a full house clean, i fully vacced my sofa and flipped all the cushions, i emptied my whole fridge and emptied all the cuboards and cleaned them, i sorted out boxes of stuff that had been just sort of knocking around since we moved in January. Its was the most therapeutic and satisfying thing I’ve done in ages.

I quite enjoy washing my deep frying pan. I have a dishwasher, but at the moment I'm practicing 'eating the rainbow' which involves a lot of stir-fry veg, so I need the pan washed and ready to be used again every day, instead of waiting for whenever the dishwasher is full. I think I enjoy washing it because it's a sign that I'm eating healthily, so it's a psychological boost.

I used to clean for a wealthy person. I ironed their sheets, trick is iron them again when they're on the bed. Works best if it's Egyptian cotton 😅 Also ironed and folded his socks and underwear.
