Made a mistake(?) buying a cooler, need advice.

Hey everyone! tomorrow I'm rebuilding my PC and making the jump from AM4 to AM5 (yes in these times). From a Ryzen 5 5600 to a 7800X3D.
So I read that the 7800X3D runs a bit hot and thus requires a relatively decent air cooler, and after seeing everyone mentioning the Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE, I decided to buy it. Except that I didn't because I can't read and got the Assassin X 120 Refined SE Plus (has 2 fans).
How bad is it in comparison, and will it struggle cooling down the 7800X3D? Am I better of maybe just using the one I currently have, the AK400 and slap a second fan on it? Or should I simply buy spend the money on the Peerless Assassin/Phantom Spirit.
Thanks in advance!

It's fine, it'll just run hotter and louder but it shouldn't thermal throttle. But if you can return it and buy a duel tower cooler, i would do that.

Don't think I can return it since I opened the box lol, that's when I noticed something was off.
It wasn't too expensive so worst case after testing if it gets too hot, I'm just gonna buy a dual tower one. Would you recon the AK400 is better than the Assassin X I got? Or basically the same, since they're both 4 pipes.

Where did you buy it from, most retails at least in the USA will let you return an item even if opened.
Now to which is better, they are the same so use the AK400 and return the other one if you can.
If you want some lower temps on the 7800x3d, enable PBO and do an all core negative curve of -20, that will help with temps.

I'm from Chile so there's that, checked the return policy of the store and it mentioned that they don't accept the return of open products unless they're defective.
And well, I probably wouldn't return it either way mostly cause while I'm doing the jump from AM4 to AM5, I'm also selling my old components to a friend and we're going to meet up tomorrow at my house to build both PC's, so I'd feel bad canceling it. It was like 20 dollars so it's not an amount I would cry over or anything, just wanted to know how bad the temps would be and which of the two coolers I have would be better.

The 7800X3D is power limited and doesn't generate a lot of heat.
