My ailing mother has finally accepted that she will never again ride the Lectric Xpeak 1.0 that she bought when it came out and has passed it on to me with fewer than 20 miles on it. As my 2+ decades' old Giant Sedona has gotten harder and harder to ride, I've fallen out of the habit and am hoping the ebike will be the motivation I need to get back at it.

I've read the manual, watched some of the Lectric YouTube videos on the Xpeak, but am realizing that this ebike world has creeped up and caught me entirely unawares. So help a guy out -- what do I *really* need to know before I go out and start riding this thing?
