My computer turned on, but monitor says no signal

My computer turns on fine all the lights are on and all the fans spin but my monitor says no signal. I have switched from an display port to an HDMI cable, I’ve unplugged and re-plugged in my ram and restarted my computer, but nothing works, i’ve never had this issue before it just came up out of the blue.

Can you provide more details about what hardware you are using such as the cpu/motherboard/gpu?
Are there any lights on the motherboard, some have debug LEDs that will often be red if its cpu or orange if ram related.

It’s AMD Radeon gpu, a tomahawk motherboard and ryzen CPU

When the pc is powered on, is there any debug led's lighting up?
Redpuma7@reddit (OP)
Yeah actually the one that says BOOT is
neteng91@reddit
What type of drive is connected to the pc? Sounds like maybe a hardware issue with your boot drive.
Redpuma7@reddit (OP)
It’s an M.2 ssd
neteng91@reddit
Take out the m.2 ssd, does the pc boot into the bios? if so your ssd may have failed.

Nothing changes even with out my SSD in the computer

Do you know the specific model of you cpu, if its AM5, then it has onboard graphics, since there is no display signal, if u have a cpu with build in onboards graphics, take out the gpu and then use the display output on the motherboard to see if the monitor gets a signal.

Should I put my SSD back in?
neteng91@reddit
Try it without the ssd first, does your CPU have onboard graphics?
Redpuma7@reddit (OP)
Still nothing
neteng91@reddit
Do you still get the boot led? I would also try doing a cmos reset on your motherboard.
Redpuma7@reddit (OP)
No, now I have the VGA led without the graphic card
neteng91@reddit
Sounds like your cpu does not have onboard graphics then, reconnect the gpu and connect your monitor to it, then do a cmos reset and try booting, does the same led light up?
Redpuma7@reddit (OP)
Amazing after the reboot, it launched into bios
neteng91@reddit
Thats great, now put the ssd back and do another boot into bios, do you see the ssd listed? If so try booting into windows.
Redpuma7@reddit (OP)
It does
PageLow79@reddit
Had the issue before, my SSD had died which had my windows download on it, check BIOS to see if your ssd is still alive
Redpuma7@reddit (OP)
How am I supposed to open up bios when my monitor doesn’t recognize the signal?
PokerLawyer75@reddit
Remove the SSD, to prove it first.
Redpuma7@reddit (OP)
I did but I get the same no signal message
PokerLawyer75@reddit
So it's either your board or your GPU. You need to check your error codes on the motherboard.
Redpuma7@reddit (OP)
How do I do that
emax4@reddit
Make sure the input on the monitor is set to HDMI or "auto". Unfortunately this can be difficult with some monitors as you have to get a signal in some manner. You can also hold down the power button of the monitor to do s hard shutoff, then press it once to turn it back on.

It recognizes that it is plugged in on auto
