AM4 with 9060 XT 16GB or AM5 with 9060 XT 8GB?

Trying to decide between two builds for mainly gaming and some general use. Budget only lets me pick one of these combinations:
Option 1 (AM4):
- Ryzen 5 5600
- RX 9060 XT 16GB
Option 2 (AM5):
- Ryzen 5 7500F
- RX 9060 XT 8GB
I mostly play Esports games as well as some modern AAA games at 1080p and want the build to last a few years. Not sure if more vram or better futureproofing is a better idea

The AM4 is much better right now, while the AM5 will be easily upgraded in a few years' time to keep it relevant.
If anything I'd choose a cheaper card for the AM5 system, the 9060XT is really hampered by the lack of VRAM. It's barely any faster than a used 3070, and costs over $100 more.

I also saw a used 7800xt for a similar price. Do you think the difference is big enough to justify buying used.

... a 7800XT for the price of an 8 GB 9060XT? Get it immediately. 😄 It's a fair bit more powerful with plenty of VRAM.

AM4 and just start playing at 1440p, problem solved.
