As a regular OBSF surfer.. no way I would bring any kind of boat that close. OB has shifty outside reefs that go way offshore and even on smaller days you see waves breaking far offshore. And I sure wouldn’t want to get thrown overboard out there either.
Yikes...it is tempting to cut the corner to the bay entrance but there are some shallow sand bars out there that become a huge risk in bigger surf. I hope they made it.
I can’t figure out why all these people spend money on boats and then go wide open in no wake zones or cut markers because they evidently can’t wait to get off them.
