Microsoft support trying to remote into my computer after asking about unauthorized login attempts

I am pretty sure the official Microsoft chat support has scammers working for them. I have been receiving unauthorized 2FA requests, the failed login attempt info has been removed from the Microsoft accounts page.
HOW DO WE REPORT MICROSOFT CHAT SUPPORT??
apple_tech_admin@reddit
Yeah…you need training my friend. You not quite there yet.

They did not contact me, this is on microsoft.com
Sorry-Climate-7982@reddit
Umm, no. The link in the chat is NOT on microsoft.com

Another interesting development. The ability to report Microsoft support has been removed from their site, it now links to the same chat support. You are supposed to be able to report them here; https://msrc.microsoft.com/report/
LavishnessCapital380@reddit (OP)
Correct, because the link I posted is the downloaded transcript from the chat. The transcript downloads as a html file, I literally just hosted it on an old domain

I'd maybe go play some golf or something. Not sure how you got there, but that sure as fuck wasn't microsoft in a chat.

That is the chat support directly on Microsoft site.

Also your full name, Josh. You’re being scammed.

Its literally on the official site. That's my point, the official Microsoft support is scamming people.

What the hell am I looking at here

Look at the chat logs. I am getting 2FA requests, changed password multiple times. Microsoft removed the feature from their security page to see failed login attempts and it only shows successful ones. Support is not able to even able to go through basic troubleshooting steps and is linking to strange domains and trying to remote in.
The posted chat logs are downloaded directly from the Microsoft chat app. After refusing remote connection, they are trying to tell me to go to account.microsoft/security.com

.microsoft is a TLD owned and controlled by MSFT. If you go to account.microsoft it immediately redirects you to the regular login page. Them using Quick Assist for whatever reason is common practice. I once asked for a Windows ISO and they connected to my computer, opened an internal SP site that had an ISO of everything they had ever made it seemed, they imitated a download, then fucked off. They might not be following what you'd expect as normal troubleshooting steps because they are dumb, but you also didn't ask them what they were going to do with that access, so you don't really know.
LavishnessCapital380@reddit (OP)
They dont need access to my computer for a question about my Microsoft account.
jkdjeff@reddit
What does 2fa stand for?
LavishnessCapital380@reddit (OP)
That has nothing to do with them trying to remote into my computer for an account issue.
Drew707@reddit
Based on the convo you posted, you didn't ask them why they needed access, so, you don't know what they were intending to do. I am not saying they were going down the right path, but you did zero due diligence outside of "I don't think this is necessary, so I am not going to entertain it whatsoever since I know more than them."
LavishnessCapital380@reddit (OP)
They dont need access to my computer for a question about my Microsoft account. Its literally unrelated.
InertiaImpact@reddit
Plot twist, OP is the scammer... Or they are just high AF

Try contacting Microsoft support on microsoft.com and see how it goes. Tell them the same thing, your getting unwanted 2FA requests.
