I got to see the 2026 Mazda CX-5 in person and I have to say I LOVE IT. It’s an autistic boy‘s dream with clean lines interior design.
I WANT IT!

They took the best way to interact with the center console and made it a touch screen, lame.
lunarc@reddit
Yeah, it’s a trend for sure, the same sentiment happened when the iPhone came out. I think people will just get used to it
gravityblord98@reddit
i thought mazda was staying out of this dumb trend and respected them for holding out. turns out they were just really behind the curve.
now as other manufacturers are seeing how unpopular this is and rolling it back, mazda comes out guns blazing.
people will not just get used to it. people hate it. this is so poorly timed as well, that i wouldn’t be surprised if this ended up killing the brand.

I hate those screens.

Good lord that shifter area is so cheap, and no volume button? Brave design choices for this considering Rav4s exist.
For a company that is planning to move upmarket this is depressing.
Total-Improvement535@reddit
I hate how some manufacturers are moving to spelling out their brand name on the wheel instead of their logo. I know what kind of car I’m driving, I don’t need it spelled out.
I also hate how the screen and air vents aren’t centered to each other
Fit_County_8440@reddit
Those marketing and desing hippies always come out with something stupid.
Reasoning behing spelling names like this, just "looks fancier"
Remember, about 85% of buyers are misinformed and know shit about cars or car brands. They'll go, "oh, looks cute".
onboost@reddit
I didn’t even realize the vents and the screen weren’t centred. I cannot unsee it now.

Excited over an npc crossover. That stinks.
thickanvil69@reddit
All that is terrible
coolbuns1@reddit
What are we doing with these clicky button hand breaks man.
ImPeeinAndEuropean@reddit
Look a screen and cup holders!
Egoist-a@reddit
Shit generic design
Dry_Librarian544@reddit
Car manufacturers are all about safety and they put all the buttons on the screen and only real reas is cost effectiveness
GreatGhastly@reddit
garbage changes the touch screen cheap tablet android infotainment is slow as hell, input speeds are bad and will only get worse, ridiculous gui navigation experience overall. much slower than previous years. uses super expensive proprietary obd readers and programs to scan and interface and the program is a fucking webpage not even an independent downloaded software
is sorta pretty though
TrolleyDilemma@reddit
I fucking hate the great replacement of iPads as dashboards.
Give me my knobs back!!!

I love the look but I despise cars that don’t have tactile buttons and only a screen.
dosko1panda@reddit
It looks nice but it has no volume knob? That sucks
Content-Insect-8770@reddit
If you like this [impolite word redacted], you'll love teslas. They have even 'cleaner' interiors. Personally I prefer the ease/functionality/safety of having physical buttons for everything I need in the center stack so I'm not trying to go through touch-screen menus while driving.
