My portholes have leaked for as long as ive owned my boat and were always really small so i couldnt even see through them that well. I found these $40 ones a couple years ago and bought one to add a pirt hole to my covkpit to give my quarter/pilots berth some light and airflow on hot nights. Its been a couple years now and that first one is still in really good condition so i decided i was going to replace my original ones. Now its finally fone and being able to see through my windows makes this old Oday feel a little bigger inside

One thing about them though is the screw holes on the trim peice and window are the same so you either have to thru bolt them together (no hardware included btw) or do what i did and screw the window on the inside and use sealant adhesive (3M 5200 in my case) to just glue it in place. Im a big fan of adding less holes to my boat. Less holes = less leaks

Awesome, thanks!
I have an 82 Hunter 36 with portlights in varying levels of decay. There's a website for Hunter owners to get genuine parts but my god is it expensive and for no unnecessary reason it seems.

It's true. Hunter 37c here. We replaced all of ours for less than $1500. Being able to open them with screen to keep the bugs out, totally worth in in my opinion. Airflow is make/break for living aboard.

These are decent replacements even if they only last like 5-10 years. For $40 ill just replace them again if need be

Can you do mine too please? :) Nice job!

Nice, I love meaningful upgrades like this

Thanks, i also replaced the big acrylic panel windows with the VHB screwless method but the 4200 i used separated from the plastic. Im thinking of tearing that out and going back with 5200 instead

Awesome update, I need to add a foredeck hatch to my Siren 17 cause it gets STUFFY down below

Yeah being able to open the companionway and front hatch at an angle at anchor when the boat points into the winf makes such a difference
