can I install an old sata ssd that has windows 10 on it after building new PC with nvme (fresh windows 11 install). I don't really care about data on old ssd.

shouldn't cause any issues as long as you have your boot order in BIOS setup to boot with the NVMe drive first.
once in Windows, you can pull up disk management and fully format the old SSD, spin up a new volume, and then it'll be ready to use.
if you have issues with deleting the recovery partitions off the old SSD, you can format the drive using powershell using guides online.

Yeah you can use it, I put mine in my new build and if you have windows10 you can just upgrade on the Microsoft website for no additional cost, save you from buying a new key.

Yes, just make sure that the NVME is set as the boot drive in the BIOS and then reformat the SATA once into Windows
