The volume of car horns should depend on how hard you press

A light press would be a "friendly" honk, a hard one would be a road rage sort of volume. Maybe even make it start swearing loudly if pressed hard enough

Trucks and buses often have this. An electric "city horn" and a full blast air horn. Often one of them is the center of the wheel and the other is a lever or thumb switch.
They also have a marker interrupt switch that temporarily turns of the lights to signify thanks.

I was with a buddy in Raleigh years ago, and he was honking his horn repeatedly because the car way up front was taking an inordinate amount of time to turn left on a flashing yellow. State trooper gave him a ticket because he said there wasn’t an “emergency”
