hi all, i was wondering what to do in this situation; i mostly play competitive shooters but also want to play other aa-aaa games
i'm currently using a TITAN Xp + R5 3600 and 16gb ram, is this worth upgrading or should I just stick to this?

For most competitive shooters, your cpu will be the more important component. And do you play at 1080p or 1440p?

I currently play 1080 but wanting to switch to 1440p later.
And yeah for comp games the cpu is more important but since I'm on an am4 board I'd have to try getting my hands on a 5700-5800x3d which is impossible or very expensive, and besides that option I can only upgrade to am5 if I want a noticeable fps increase

I don’t know how big your total budget is, but seeing the prices, a 5700x+9070xt will serve you a lot better than just getting a 5070ti. Zen3 is still a lot better in gaming performance than zen2 was, and will give you a noticable fps increase. And moving to 1440p will get kore out of either gpu too.
I own both cards, I would not pay 270€ more for a 5070ti. I think its feature set is better implemented, but not 270€ better.

yea right, thoughts on this build? https://nl.pcpartpicker.com/list/TZZNPf

Pretty decent, should definitely be a massive upgrade for competitive shooters.
I do tend to double check best prices on tweakers.net, often more accurate than the Dutch pcpartpicker. Ram is actually decently priced, usually it’s above 400€.

do you think I can do any better than my list? i don't really wanna go above that budget, and ty for the helping bro.

Not really, what I came up with was this, only 70€ cheaper than your current list. And the motherboard is white, because it has a better chipset a a good price. As for the cooler, a version of the peerless assasin is on sale at Amazon for 26€ right now, or you can pick the deepcool ag620 at 25€. Both dual tower coolers.

For mostly competitive shooters go with the 9070 XT. Yes ray tracing and DLSS is better on NVIDIA, but for competitive shooters you won’t need those, and AMD’s is still very capable in AAA games on the 9070 XT with huge improvements over the previous generation.

Which card do you reckon will have more longevity?

They will likely be very similar.

With such a huge price difference, RX 9070XT all the way.
