Zinc will fly from the newly built and soon to open Western Sydney International Airport.

Do they need some A320s? I know where they can obtains some. Just need a paint job.

unfortunately, they are probably gonna die. Airlines just don't last these days. And "zinc" is a funny name.

It’s big risk that’s for sure. Plenty have tried but all have failed. Just seems we don’t have enough demand for the ultra low cost carriers here in Australia.

I mean here in the States we just had a major loss with Spirit... Outside of Europe and Asia the LCC model just isn't profitable

Volaris and Viva are doing pretty well aren't they? Though they are based out of Mexico rather than the US or Canada. And yes I know about the merger plans, but still.

Isn’t Jetstar basically the Ryanair of Australia (and New Zealand)?
Mattynice75@reddit (OP)
Jetstar is a subsidiary of Qantas so they have significant backing. But yes they are the low cost carriers of Australia.

There's a common joke in Australian aviation that the country is only big enough for 1.5 airlines.

Add Scoot and Peach.
