Is anyone else spending half their day just switching between tabs, how do you actually stay organized as a dispatcher?

Not exaggerating when I say I had 47 tabs open by noon yesterday.
DAT, Truckstop, three different broker portals, Gmail, our TMS, Google Maps for checking routes, a rate check site, Slack for driver updates, QuickBooks, and then my phone ringing on top of all that.
The thing that kills me is that none of these tools talk to each other. So I'll find a load on one board, then I have to manually go check if the broker is any good, then open email to reach out, then copy the details into our TMS, then ping the driver. Every single booking is like 15 separate actions across 8 different windows.
I've tried to build systems. Checklists, a certain order I do things. It helps a little but then one urgent thing comes in and the whole flow gets blown up.
A buddy of mine who dispatches for a bigger operation told me they moved most of their load searching and outreach onto an ai software, apparently it searches multiple boards from one place and handles a lot of the broker contact automatically. Said it cut down his tab situation significantly which honestly sounds like a dream.
How are other dispatchers handling this? Do you just get used to the chaos or has anyone actually found a setup that makes it feel manageable? Would love to know what tools or workflows people are actually using day to day.

At an LTL (a long long time ago in a galaxy far far away) I was fine with clipboards, phones, a Motorola two way radio and pickup cards on a rack. When it got to two monitors with several programs running , emails and messages ,etc. my solution was ......... went back to driving and training. Don't need that much stress.

i see our dispatcher every day now. I have so much respect for the shit show yall have to deal with you. I can see why some stop caring, its a lot of work. And everybody expects u to have it done immediately when they call.
Thank you for doing your jobs.

same mess here man, tabs on tabs on tabs. i started using split screen, 2 monitors, and keep strict "zones" like left = boards only, right = tms + email. also keyboard shortcuts for everything. minor help but chaos never really goes away
