I feel McDonald’s UK are trying to make things more interesting lately, what’s your go to order?
DangerousDisplay7664@reddit
Nothing, it’s never cost more and never tasted worse!
hxmz-z@reddit
what’s the point of giving these replies. just answer the question
Throwaway91847817@reddit
Sad Redditors need to feel smug
DangerousDisplay7664@reddit
That is my 100% honest answer. I have not ate at a McDonald’s since around October and the time before that was probably around 6 months previous
AshamedAttention727@reddit
Because it's 90% likely it's mcdonald marketing team? Look at the post, it's a terrible question
Balodifanio@reddit
You can’t honestly believe that?
AshamedAttention727@reddit
Not certain honestly, but 'mcdonslds has been trying to shake things up, what's your go to order' as the entire post is a bit lame.
Doomergeneration@reddit (OP)
I wish I was being paid by them 😂
AshamedAttention727@reddit
Okay just a low effort post then asking a bout brand
tmr89@reddit
Same
SocietyPleasant7461@reddit
Agreed!
OG-87@reddit
I go for the drive past and keep going
martinbean@reddit
Couldn’t drive past this post and keep going without commenting though? 🙃
Throwaway91847817@reddit
Gotta get flex that superiority complex somehow, this is r/askUK after all
OG-87@reddit
That’s because it’s not a McDonald’s
dobber72@reddit
Ah yes, the happy meal deal, it's a favourite of mine too.
thr-oh-noes@reddit
Big Tasty is the nuts
martinbean@reddit
I love a Big Tasty, but when they reintroduced them this year, they were no longer “Big” but just put in a normal-sized burger bun.
wardyms@reddit
The double big tasty layers the cheese properly and has sauce at the top and bottom though, which the previous one never did.
thr-oh-noes@reddit
I noticed this today! A casualty of shrinkflation 🍔
jenni_jen85@reddit
Filet o fish yeh I’m that guy
confused_mani@reddit
Underrated, shame it’s nearly a fiver for a single
wardyms@reddit
And yet the McFish happy meal (same just with ketchup instead of tartare sauce) is cheaper.
Doomergeneration@reddit (OP)
I’ve actually never had one of those
jenni_jen85@reddit
The double fillet of fish is awesome and dipping the fries in the tartare sauce 🤤 try it! I promise it’s good
R3ddit300@reddit
A lot of people on the 'McDonald's is beneath me' bandwagon tonight I see.
AssumptionBudget279@reddit
Love their spicy nuggets and enjoy the spicy mccrispy and the spicy mayo sauce, yes I like spicy things 😅
seasonaldiamond@reddit
Hash browns. The best thing on their menu without a doubt. When it’s not breakfast, McPlant.
tmr89@reddit
Biggest rip off on their menu. £1.70 for a single hash brown. Scam!
seasonaldiamond@reddit
Worth every penny, and more. No other compares.
Fwoggie2@reddit
I'd rather go to Five Guys if I wanted burger and fries. Sure it's pricier so I couldn't go as often but that's ok with me.
Dazz316@reddit
I struggle these days.
The burger meat is shit and barely better than something from Iceland. I try a BigMac or one of their sp[ecial burgers now and again they're crap and often a sloppy mess if they're saucy.
I settle on chicken nuggets or maybe selects. I tried a fish fillet a while back and enjoyed it. The cost though is rediculous. The meals never improved but the cost seems so much.
Commercial_Reward_78@reddit
Coffee at the motorway services. That’s it… and I’ve worked for McD’s in the US.
GlitteringEbb7363@reddit
An espresso to keep you awake, alongside a mcwee
Antique-Primary-2413@reddit
Two double cheeseburgers, large fries, 6 nuggets.
Breakfast:
Double sausage & egg McMuffin, cappuccino, 17 hash browns.
tmr89@reddit
At £1.70 for a single hash brown at my local Maccys, that’s £28.90 on hash browns.
And you probably get 17 or more in a bag for £2 from a supermarket.
Total rip off!
GlitteringEbb7363@reddit
Ain't nothing absorbs freezer smells like an opened packet of hash browns , however.
I've half considered buying some to keep the freezer fug down.
Maleficent_Day_3869@reddit
a large fries and a coke
No_Law_1528@reddit
It used to be triple cheese but they stopped making them
Doomergeneration@reddit (OP)
Sad times
tmr89@reddit
Two double cheeseburgers
Top_Thought222@reddit
They need to bring back the triple cheeseburger!
tmr89@reddit
Yup! They realised its value was too good for the customer, so they had to get rid of it
ImpactAffectionate86@reddit
Saver menu plain double cheese burger and/or chicken mayo and chips.
There’s no point getting any of the fancy burgers they all taste the same.
tmr89@reddit
And they’re all basically either a double cheese burger with an extra bun (Big Mac), or a quarter pounder with some extra sauce
TulipTatsyrup@reddit
I would rather eat my own liver with a rusty spoon than eat that crap and I'm a chunky girl.
iffyClyro@reddit
Don’t go very often but a cheeseburger tends to hit the spot.
I’ve probably been to McDonald’s more in places like China and Japan than I’ve been at home.
Still just get a cheeseburger though.
Doomergeneration@reddit (OP)
Japanese McDonald’s is good, Samurai Mac and Melon Fanta 🤤
iffyClyro@reddit
I’ve never actually had a meal, I’ll try it next time.
Normally just nip in for a late night cheeseburger.
sssstttteeee@reddit
McPlant (one patty), chips, diet coke.
Whilst my car is charging and I'm being ripped off at 89p per kWh instead of 3.99p at home. On a plus, only make 5 or 6 of these journeys a year, and from April till Sept can charge off my solar for free.
Save a few thousand each year on fuel, cheap servicing.
With 5 or 6 Maccy D's into the bargain.
Hollow_Silk@reddit
Very rarely go
But 2 chicken mayo burgers and a medium fries and a medium drink normally
M1kbee@reddit
I used to love the Big Tasty.
Now that it's become the Small Tasty, they can pluck off.
Striking_Caramel_357@reddit
I literally go anywhere else so I get a good burger and I enjoy it. Take Five Guys - expensive but bloody lovely….. you get what you pay for
BigReference1xx@reddit
Large Big Mac meal with a classic coke and an extra cheeseburger.
Veinmire@reddit
BBQ chicken and bacon wrap, crispy version, no tomato.
Big Tasty or Big Mac, again no tomato. Nor pickles. Added bacon.
Fries.
Louis4primeminster@reddit
Wrap of the day meal and a saver cheeseburger
Blandiblub@reddit
Exactly this but I level that up with a double cheeseburger.
Repulsive_Dig_133@reddit
Well, lately and last weekend it was a crispy chicken sandwich/burger/meal. I ordered from the thing, it failed to print, but displayed the number for 1ms. Lucky i was looking at it ! ( have learned that lesson ).
It was absolute bedlam at the pick up bit. If i hadn't have seen my number and I would have just left and accepted it as a loss.
Fearless-Quiet-9542@reddit
Mcplant meal w/ diet coke & cheese bites 👼
Top_Thought222@reddit
Nothing beats the mayo on a mchicken sandwich! So i usually get a large meal with coke and then nuggets on the side. If i am feeling really fat then may add a cheeseburger too 😂 but I haven’t had it in a long time as in my opinion mcdonalds has gone down hill and expensive.
Kind_Ad5566@reddit
Wrap of the day.
That's it.
dreamribbons@reddit
Chicken mayo and medium fries. If by go to, you mean once every couple of years when I get a craving
RedRamblerUK@reddit
Just a chilli wrap and diet coke. Don't bother with Fries anymore. Cold and beige.
Maccies used to be the best fast food and I spent many a lunch break there in my time. Take it or leave it now.
It's always rammo though when I walk past.
Unfair_Original_2536@reddit
I'm not just being a old Reddit wank but since it's no longer fast food I'm not bothering. It costs nearly the same to sit down somewhere and have better food.
When it was cheap and fast and the cheese was actually melted a Big Mac, or for breakfast a sausage egg and cheese bagel, the bagels were great.
Optimal_Collection77@reddit
Leave
Immorals1@reddit
Double cheeseburger, extra pickles and onions, no ketchup.
Only half enjoyable thing on the menu tbh
Particular_Good_8682@reddit
Large big mac meal, banana milkshake if available and a apple pie.
Same order for the last 20odd years I swear haha
Feckin_Loser@reddit
2 saver menu cheeseburgers. Sometimes I’ll get a fries, more often I’ll steal some from my wife and children because they don’t eat them all and after about 5 I’m done.
