What's the best tips/tricks for buying a car?

We're hopefully going to be getting a new car in the next couple of months. I'm leaning towards either a BYD Seal U Comfort or the Chery Tiggo 7 or 8 (coming from a 15 plate VW Golf). I’m after the secrets and tactics people use to get the best possible price.
What negotiation tricks have worked for you? Best time to go in? How do you play multiple dealers against each other? Any clever lines or moves that make them drop the price? End of quarter stuff, sales targets, whatever actually works.
Also any red flags that make you walk away straight away, and part-ex tips if you’re trading in. I read that I shouldnt mention I'm part-exing until I have them at their best price, is this something anyone's used before?
Any and all advice much appreciated,
Thanks!

I used AI when I bought my last car. Made sure I found all the problems with the car, which was a Nissan Qashqai Connecta. Gemini told me the thermostat likes to explode, so I get them to change it, the white worm on the allows was ok, I dud tell them to replace the battery as that was another weak point. They said no. It failed last week so they footed the bill. Best experience I’ve had that’s to google Gemini! Which is also helping me on my YouTube channel for my f1 videos! Link in bio!

There are four structural components of a car transaction you can negotiate on. The Out-The-Door price, deposit, finance terms and Trade in value. There’s lots of wiggle room in a list price.
