It was properly a run from boots. It could be available on ebay or somewhere like that.

Definitely look on vinted - I found one there if you search for “pink Santa mug”

@OP there are a couple on Vinted! This one is £2.50

I searched Christmas mug star Santa pink and fingered but brand boots. Current two on there this one for £2.50 and one for £7.

'Santa pink and fingered'?! That's a brave search! Well done for finding it though!

What’s does it say on the bottom?

Find a local pottery repair man on fb, they do fantastic work!
I've got a dude I use who's fixed mugs, owls, highland cows and other things, with no evidence of them being mended.

Glue it back together and have it as an ornamental mug. Look up Kintsugi

Bronner's at Frankenmuth Michigan.

It's on the hob.

Please send a photo of the base, it usually has some info on it

Trying eBay or vinted is your best bet.
You can do a Google image search with both

My wife found an old mug on vinted
heavenhelpyou@reddit
My husband (then boyfriend) once broke a cup that was very sentimental to me, in a similar fashion to what you've shown. He was honest, I had a little cry, then he glued it together and I placed it on my nightstand and he bought me a new cup for actual use.
That cup has been on my nightstand for 16 years and counting.

You got all the bits right there. Time to get some gold Solder and go to town
oscarx-ray@reddit
There's a very good chance that this mug can't be directly replaced.
There's also a very good chance that if you bought an identical mug, it still wouldn't mean the same as what it did when she got it.
What you should try to do is not replace the pattern on the porcelain, but replace the *idea* of the mug - even if it's just a different Santa mug.
BVOP83@reddit
You’re all over this sub with good advice!! I agree with this sentiment. Giving her a new mug, either with the same or different meaning as a caring and thoughtful gift would go much further than finding a like for like replacement
oscarx-ray@reddit
I can't say my advice is good, I just try to do my best.
I only know that the sentiment is what makes a gist special, not the dancing Santas. If I lose something I love, then someone I love "replacing" it with something that comes from a place of love would mean that it means just as much if not more.
BVOP83@reddit
Well, maybe your advice is good or maybe it’s terrible BUT from my perspective, it seems very solid! Putting myself in OP’s mums shoes… difficult as a man but bear with me… I would be so happy to know that my kid cared enough about me to get a well thought out gift
oscarx-ray@reddit
The wee story I told below about the Monster in my Pocket was lighthearted, but not insincere. You can't replace the "thing", but you can make the recipient feel good about the gift they're getting.
BVOP83@reddit
Absolutely agree with you mate. At least when you get to a certain age and/or maturity level, the gift itself isn’t so significant. What really matters is the meaning and the sentiment surrounding it

I *literally* have a pair of socks from my wife that mean more to me than my big TVs and leather jackets 😂
AnxiousAppointment70@reddit
What's the name of the Japanese art of patching a precious object up in an obvious way? Do that and use it as a pencil tub.
oscarx-ray@reddit
Kintsugi.
oscarx-ray@reddit
I had a Swamp Thing "Monster in my Pocket" toy from my childhood.
My mum's dog ate it, so I bought a new one off eBay.
It doesn't hold the same truck with me, it's not MY Swamp Thing.
If my mum knew how upset I was and bought me something to replace it to make me happy, that would make me SUPER happy because the thought was there, not the Swamp Thing.
