which car brand has the most unbearable drivers
DJScaryTerry@reddit
Tesla. The drivers seem to have literally no idea how fast they're going in relation to vehicle weight and stopping distance.
PurpleSausage77@reddit
At least they have the performance to back it up. They brake insanely well.
Now, 400hp top heavy SUV and pick up trucks…
DJScaryTerry@reddit
You mean the model X/plaid....
No-Relationship-2169@reddit
You mean the only SUV in history to get a 5 star safety rating in rollover because IIHS couldn’t flip it? Surely you don’t mean that model X…
windmill09@reddit
Those tests are flawed. The didn't show the results of the crash in which passengers were trapped and grilled alive buy the battery fires in crashes as the electronical doors failed to open. "Report: Tesla Doors That Won't Open Have Led to 15 Crash-Related Deaths" Car and Driver. (Yes, we know there is a manual opening method, but most Tesla owners will tell you the manual method is exactly very difficult to use especially after head injuries after a crash).
DJScaryTerry@reddit
Idgaf about the flipping I care about the bad brakes in a 7000lb suv
No-Relationship-2169@reddit
What actual evidence is there that they have bad brakes? It’s 70-0 is the same as a Miata.
MortadellaKing@reddit
What scares me about these and EVs in general, is the average idiot driver can barely handle a malaise era Pontiac, but now they have insane amounts of torque at their fingertips. I often see people just launching like crazy at intersections only to nearly rear end the person ahead of them.
SwizzGod@reddit
Wish they would just move out of the left lane so I could do what I need to do
Complete-Can3957@reddit
💯!!
AggravatingSpread837@reddit
To be fair, they don’t get much practice, as they are busy playing with themselves.

ripped_andsweet@reddit
the Altima isn’t even the poster child of unhinged drivers anymore, the Hyundai Sonata has taken its place
Tickles-The-Octopus@reddit
I've worked at Nissan, VW and FCA dealers.
Personal Ram drivers are the worst out of any I've dealt with. Company drivers with Rams are fine, they are generally on the clock and the most easy going and chill people around. But the schmucks who buy a Ram because they need to compensate for their smol pp and think because they drive a truuuck they are entitled to the rest of the world to bend to their will.

Most Toyota but that is a bit of a volume issue I’d say most consistently awful is BMW.
Careless-Trick-5117@reddit
Rav4 drivers drive 5 under the limit at all times
TheCarcissist@reddit
Corvette and low end porsche drivers.... its pretty much cliche at this point
Beautiful_Ad_4813@reddit
RAM, Ford (full size trucks), Chevy/GMC (full size trucks) - all of them can't drive for shit, then ride people's asses. rampant speeding, reckless driving, the works. I mean, I see it literally every single day.
gmehodler42069741LFG@reddit
Fucking prius drivers. Always in the way.
EGGWURST@reddit
Found the ram driver

RAM
Barlight24@reddit
After 20 years, 90% of Dodge trucks are still on the road because the payments are so high, the owner can't afford a tow truck to get it home.
Hoopajoops@reddit
Infiniti and more specifically the G37. The price has dropped into the range that highschool kids can buy them. It's a fast reliable sedan but plenty of asshole drivers but them now
El-Cocinero-Tejano@reddit
Tesla. Low IQ drivers that expect the car to make them a better driver. Nope!
Autobacs-NSX@reddit
Probably BMW, I mean they’re objectively overly complex unreliable vehicles with too many low quality plastic parts - but when pressed on this, the BMW owners, at a rate of literally 100%, will call you some form of the following insult: a broke jealous hater .. suggesting that you’re hating on BMW solely because you can’t afford one, (allegedly, of course.) Also, as we know, the stereotype does exist of BMW drivers tailgating / not yielding to other drivers / being dickhead drivers in general, which in my experience is definitely true of luxury automobiles but especially German ones.
So .. you have this endless flux of upper middle class people leasing them / or trading up every 5 years before real issues start to set in. Then you get the people who bought them at like 50% depreciation (lol) stuck with the repair bills and saying things like “they’re reliable if you maintain them” who eventually also sell them when the mileage hits 100k and literally everything starts falling apart. and then you have the final type of buyer - the person who sees a 100k mile / 10 year old BMW for like $12k and think it’s a good deal, not knowing the looming financial catastrophe, because BMW is good right? Well, no.
trio3224@reddit
Dodge.

Every ram truck comes with white oakleys and a business card for a DUI fighting lawyer.
unbroken_cycle@reddit
Oh dang I missed the distribution and I’ve been driving my RAM for 15 years
NoobensMcarthur@reddit
Also they need to have the brightest aftermarket headlights known to man and the running boards need to be 4 feet off the ground, minimum.

Tesla
rcheneyjr@reddit
At least some Teslas have turn signals!
Large_Cloud_1611@reddit
Ya but the drivers are insufferable
FLOHTX@reddit
What do they do differently?
KoenigseggAgera@reddit
Nissan (Altima, Rogue)
Some pickup trucks
Some Chevy Equinox’s drive like they constantly want to beat their wives and run a yellow light 500 meters ahead.
In the city: Chevy Malibu, 2005 Honda Accord
Not leaving distance and swerving around suburban highways:
Mazda SUVs (they can be fast and maybe still cautious but almost asshole energy)
BMW SUVs (some are like this)
Cheap sedans like Altima, Camry, Civic exist but not enough to be notable
Never really see many Teslas doing wild shit.
Can’t recall too many weird Jeep shit encounters other than one guy getting stuck in the snow while I puttered around in my shitty ContiPro Contacts LOL.
Never see Acura, almost never Lexus, Cadillac, Buick, Genesis, Mercedes doing any wild shit.
mc_nibbles@reddit
Brand is hard to pinpoint.
Form factor for me is definitely lifted trucks. Living in the midwest they are everywhere, most have bald tires on obnoxiously spaced out rims, none of them know how to drive or take corners, and I can almost guarantee the person getting out of the truck when it stops is some 5'6" Farquaad.
Now that I think about it, Jeep Trucks might be a real answer. The one time I saw a guy try to load stuff in his Jeep truck at home depot only to come out to him unloading everything because it wouldn't fit, I felt actual joy.
TheScrote1@reddit
Full size pickup drivers. Either they drive way too fast and tailgate you or they are hauling horses going insanely slow in the curves then speeding up to 70 in the passing zones

Nowadays it’s Tesla. At least one Tesla per week tries to change lanes directly into me. Which is baffling considering all of the computer bullshit in the car
My_friends_are_toys@reddit
Used to be Mercedes/BMW, but now it's Tesla/Prius drivers
zach1396@reddit
Nissan. Altima and the Altima suv (rouge) neither one of the drivers care about their life or yours. Titan drivers are always slow, Z drivers are driving fast and making unnecessary trumpet noises, pathfinders and armadas are always in the fast lane tailgating, and Sentra drivers are either driving like an Altima or driving like a 90 year old grandma, there’s no in between.
yeeting_my_meat69@reddit
Whichever premium brand has the best lease deal at the time.
revocer@reddit
Tesla, either they are driving way too fast in the slow lane, and way too slow in the fast lane.
BMW should stand for Bitchass Motherf*ckin’ Weavers. Ruins the flow of traffic for everyone.
PurpleSausage77@reddit
Pick ups and SUV’s. See them doing the most goofy crap out of anyone because they think they are invincible being high up.
But most vehicles on the road where I live are now SUVs and pick ups.
stozier@reddit
Where I'm from, Tesla. Model 3s as a scourge and a popular choice for Uber drivers. As a result, they are ripping down residential streets, alleyways, the rest.
Despite all the "safety features" I'd guess 1 in 6 has some sort of visible body damage around the bumpers or doors.
Mix of distracted and aggressive driving and absolutely ubiquitous.
AggravatingSpread837@reddit
