I like to go to watch my local team play football and go into London to watch cricket but would have to go on my own.

I’ve had a West Ham season ticket on my own for nearly 10 years (although since made friends with people near me) and I go to dozens of games as a neutral on my own
puregreentea@reddit
Same. Season ticket at Deepdale. Go on my own. Love it.
frankieramps@reddit
Yes, cricket no one’s going to bother you. Especially a county game. Very chill vibes.
First-Can3099@reddit
Exactly this, pick a quiet stand. Feet up on your own in the sun with the occasional distant ripple of clapping. Keeping tabs on the game but maybe with a book or podcast going too. Ocean of calm.

genuine bliss state achievable.

I have done lol, I've gone to games abroad and gone solo, no one cares. Going f1 in madrid in september solo, its no big deal. I'm going to two cricket games in august with someone, but I'd go solo and same deal. if the options are go solo, or not go, in most cases I'm going solo. because why wouldn't I?????
kliccit@reddit
Yeah I love going with people but love going on my own
Jimmywtv@reddit
I go to games on my own more often than not. Never thought twice about it.
E-Step@reddit
I've been to sporting events on my own, had a great time.
ha7zi@reddit
Yeah I do it all the time. Would prefer with a friend but better than not going
londonflare@reddit
Genuine question - why wouldn’t you go on your own?
Recent-Background800@reddit
Had a cov season ticket for a bit and went by myself, it can be a bit daunting as you do feel like your the odd one out but realistically nobody cares and you'll get talking to people around you.
ed_mutts_nutts@reddit
One big family once you in the stands m8. Go solo cov all the time and act like a lunatic. Don't give a flying squirrels ringpeice tbf
ed_mutts_nutts@reddit
Prefer going on my own, I can act like a lunatic without my mates being embarrassed
kilgore_trout1@reddit
Yeah, before I had kids I used to go and watch the team in support on my own quite a lot.
This is mainly because it’s a tough ask to get people to come and watch Swindon Town with me.
doepfersdungeon@reddit
Totally normal
Subject_Ad1286@reddit
Yeah, I usually go with my mates, but if they can’t make it then an evening out at the football by myself is perfectly fine.
SuperDinkle406@reddit
Yep and I do. H Go for it and have fun.
Major-Credit-2442@reddit
So many people get a season ticket and go on their own. Then usually end up making football friends at the game.
adequatemum@reddit
I frequently go to the football by myself
Aben_Zin@reddit
Absolutely not.
Can’t stand football or cricket.
Fellattio_Nelson@reddit
If you dont enjoy your own company and feel the need to be around people all the time, somethings wrong.
JuniorToe3327@reddit
I went to The Oval recently for the afternoon session on my own recently. There were many people solo. Was a great afternoon sitting in the sun watching cricket
jdsuperman@reddit
I do both of those things often, and I basically only ever go by myself. I absolutely love it. I choose when to get there, where to park, when to eat, what to eat, where to sit, everything about the entire day.
DDMMYY_@reddit
I had a Man United season ticket on my own for 2 years, you get to know the people in your section
AdministrativeLaugh2@reddit
What do you think will happen if you go on your own? Everyone will point and laugh at you?
nrm94@reddit
Haha look at that loser sitting on his own.
zoltan_g@reddit
If it's your thing then just go
Cloughiepig@reddit
I occasionally go to home games by myself but won’t do solo away trips anymore after a cold wet and miserable defeat at Walsall in about 2007.
Pickingnamesisharder@reddit
I never feel alone when you're surrounded by like minded fans
Tactical-Chunderer@reddit
Yes, don’t get wankered and/or be an arse. Go and watch the thing.
ClintonHatt@reddit
Yes, all the the time.
Master-Leopard-7830@reddit
Yes. Why not?
zebedee14@reddit
I went to the ashes on my own last winter. Wouldn't have it any other way
YodaShagsDarthVader@reddit
Used to go to football all the time on my own. Over the years made loads of mates
MrMikeylad@reddit
Nearly always go the stadium on my own for the match. Always enjoy myself
Disastrous-Place-846@reddit
Yes, I went to watch arsenal play on my own and celebrated with a complete stranger when they scored.
Voodoopulse@reddit
I've been to a European away on my own and had an amazing time
Nosworthy@reddit
Of course.
antlered-god@reddit
I wouldn't want to watch any sporting events on my own or with anyone else, ever....
