When you're at home after work, or on your days off, what do you spend your free time doing?
Nervous_Difficulty_6@reddit
AskUK sub
And not one answer so far is, ‘drink beer’
I’m currently making home made kebabs, having a pint, before heading out to drink more pints and play pool.
Then drink more pints.
Accomplished_Fly_593@reddit
careful now, going to the pub on a friday night makes you an alcoholic in these parts
Nervous_Difficulty_6@reddit
I’ll take one for the team, fella.
6 pints in, watched footie, watching the golf and still playing pool
dazed1984@reddit
Mostly running.
BonchUK@reddit
Cook, clean the house/chores, have a friend over for dinner, go out to a social event, cycle or walk around. Y area, play games or watch a movie, listen to music, barbecue… so much to do.
TheViscountRang@reddit
Honestly mate, I spend a good chunk of it wanking
snowmanseeker@reddit
Walk my dogs, play with my dogs, cuddle my dogs, buy things for my dogs. Those things with my husband too.
Oh and the usual reading, procrastinating online, watching sport (at home and in public, am a season ticket holder at my club) etc etc
Caltra@reddit
Out of interest if you’re okay sharing, who’s your club and how has the price of a season ticket changed over the past couple of years?
snowmanseeker@reddit
Crawley Town and no, prices are relatively stable or have had small/normal increases.

I have 2 days together off work, I spend the first day cleaning, doing washing etc.. housey shite!
Second day is my day. I read, I go online, I sit in the garden with a coffee, go for a nice walk into town, watch a movie maybe, play my Nintendo, might do a bit of scrapbooking. Chill with my house rabbit. Proper meee meeee meeeee! 🥹 we don’t have kids by the way. 🤪
Chilly_Piper_83@reddit
Walk the dog, various random bridleways near where I live. I love the feeling of there being no other human within at least a mile or two of us. Helps my mental health no end plus the dog loves a good undisturbed romp around. He's happy so I'm happy.
JonBarghestTheAuthor@reddit
Read, write, watch old movies, a bit of weirdly intense yoga run by a former wrestler when I'm feeling healthy, craft beer when I'm not.

I’m currently walking to hot yoga. 2 birds with one stone. Get the steps in and get to relax/exercise for an hour doing something I enjoy.
Longjumpin-2816262@reddit
What’s the benefits of it as opposed to normal Yoga?
notanadultyadult@reddit
So it relaxes your muscles quicker. Allows you to get in to poses more easily and therefore improves your flexibility. You also sweat A LOT. Plus I find my mind just feels so clear and calm afterwards. It’s very enjoyable once you get past the sweating like a pig part lol.
Longjumpin-2816262@reddit
Thanks sounds good
Particular_Good_8682@reddit
Pretty sure it's just for burning more calories than normal yoga. because you are sweating like a pig on a hot day 😂

Trying to learn Python
Deepseagrasshopper@reddit
Keep at it mate it's worth it. I started with 'Automate the Boring Stuff with Python' book about 4 years ago, now I use python all the time for pretty much any repetitive task, and recently started using pytorch for training my own AI LLMs (Huggingface.co has a great free tutorial and lots of free and open source material).
Astoran_Knight@reddit
Thank you. I'm going through a book called Python Crash Course now, but will look into this one for afterwards. Very cool , Ty! 😎
Deepseagrasshopper@reddit
My first award ever. Thank you 😊🙏
Deepseagrasshopper@reddit
No problem mate. Ah yes python crash course is excellent, I just looked on my bookshelf and forgot I'd worked through that book as well, I think you're on the right book to start with as it gives a real good run through of lots of use cases. The Py Game section was my favourite, I got carried away and added in some Easter eggs into the space invaders game like a key sequence 'fart' to make the laser shots change to fart noises lol. Building something fun or interesting makes learning much easier.

Wish i had some
The_GhostDog@reddit
You guys get free time?
BulbaCorps@reddit
Too many interests, not enough time! I mostly paint Warhammer, would love to play more but difficult finding the time and organising, so now working towards playing some solo fantasy TTRPGs. Will play switch or watch a movie if the feeling takes me. Would love to read and draw more!

Paint miniatures. Got into it a few months ago and it's so good. Really relaxing, and you feel like you have something to show for it at the end of the night. Great little wind down activity for after the kids are in bed.

Walking the dog, gardening, more gardening, and then some gardening. When that’s done for five minutes, there’s always housework to do!
MillyMcMophead@reddit
Exactly my life too. Although from spring to autumn there's a lot more gardening and a lot less housework.
SoggyWotsits@reddit
Very true. Sometimes my other half asks if I’m actually coming in. Me and the dog are outside until dark deadheading sometimes!
