Got a pm done yesterday. Ran my full shift then noticed this on my pretrip this morning.
Ive never noticed anything coming out of this hose before. Can anybody identify what this part is?
It's on a MX-11 engine.

Thats your ccv. Crank case vent its basically an oil catcher that has a filter that needs to be changed at service intervals stated by pacar(KW) fleets tend to ignore them because they are expensive.

Actually I just checked how the CCV works. They overfilled my engine oil yesterday and this is blowout oil from the overfill. That'sa relief but now I needto figure out what is causing my hitch.

You’re supposed to pretrip at the start of work or after any significant event. Lesson possibly learned.

Liquid wasn't there after the PM. I didnt do another pretrip until today.

Dude if you’re going to make excuses for not checking the oil level after an oil change you’re just going to be a steering wheel holder for the rest of your days.

You are not wrong… steering wheel holders gonna down vote 🤷🏻♂️

I have received equipment straight from maintenance but with problems many times. I could be pissy about it but instead I take the approach that they’re human.
New tire? Check the lugs.
Oil change? Check the level.

Sounds like I'm going to be having a talk with the shop soon.

Leaking

That seems to be your egr valve. It can affect performance and emissions

I was climbing up the Mountains in PA yesterday. I noticed a couple of times that it developed a slight hitch on the way uphill. It went away do I thought it might have been some janky fuel. I was afraid it was something serious. This might explain why it ran like shit yesterday.

Another said ccv and that is correct. Hope it gets fixed soon. Sucks to be running a compromised piece of equipment. Then you have to worry if its gonna go tits up on you.

The egr is on the rear of the exhaust manifold. Exhaust gas recirculation valve, yes they can cause issues but! Thats not what was pictured

Is that's what's written on the top cover? It vaguely looks like it. Would that mean it was supposed to be serviced and they didn't do it? I paid for a PM-C. Doesn't look like it's been touched in awhile.
