This sounds like such a gerontocracy.
Inexpensive rides for old people, but none for young people who have to get to work or school.

Why is this just free for a period of time, these residents should be covered in a way that make sense, either by an amount of trips over the month and so, tho free trial thing feel like a marketing gimmick

Likely to gauge resident interest in the program. Its only for 65+. Making it free means raising money from somewhere to cover it.

The service is currently available to residents age 65 and older and is designed to help users access essential services and community destinations throughout the city. I hope it leads to less unsafe elderly drivers on the road.

Sounds like a really neat idea
