The grand-sh tour

I have to say, I was really disappointed with The Grand-ish Tour.
Since they managed to bring the trio back together, I was hoping for something more special, like unreleased behind the scenes footage, bloopers, or even just them arguing and bantering naturally. A real, unscripted conversation about what worked and what didn’t over the years would have been fantastic.
Unfortunately, most of the clips can already be found easily on YouTube and TikTok. I expected significantly more added value from an official Amazon production, so this felt like a missed opportunity...
The only behind the scenes footage was May dropping the walkie-talkie 🤷🏻♀️

It was pretty dull, but also very expected that it would be, and not their fault, it was pretty clear the bits about being contractually obligated to do it weren't jokes, they were very open digs at Amazon. I don't think anyone can really blame their lack of enthusiasim either, yes TG and GT made their careers so they always owe a little bit to them, but at the same time they've been trying to do other things since so must get a bit sick when they have to talk about the same things over and over to do with cars or the shows, you can see it's a different energy when they choose to talk about them against when they're being forced to do it.

It's a joke. They're awful... I actually cancelled my prime membership. Obviously I don't get a vote, my only vote is with my wallet. Don't tell me about a new season six months ahead then give me this bullocks

What I really want to know is where that interview that the trio gave inside Broadcasting House in London is. Will it ever get released officially. That seemed quite interesting, yes it was in the style of an interview bit it was an off the cuff type conversation between the trio, Wilman and the interviewer.

They didn’t really have any bloopers because whenever things went wrong, they put it in the show. And they’re pretty clear right away that they didn’t want to make it.

It's like best of compilation made by someone on youtube. Milking money form the trio I guess
Haramdour@reddit
They did this periodically with Top Gear
GobiPLX@reddit
It doesn't change what I said

I kind of enjoyed them. I wish there was more behind the scenes stuff involved in the discussions. A more of a podcast vibe. The banter between them is still great and the clips are always fun to watch.

A podcast would be great. Listen to them talk about all the top gear years and TGT years. Stuff we haven’t heard about. Would be so good
ConsistencyWelder@reddit
Yeah they should have called it "The Contractual Obligation-tour

Contractual obligation springs to mind. As does dialling it in.
LittleHornetPhil@reddit
They spent all the money on the first intro video.
Trishdelish1@reddit
It’s for the ppl watching that don’t use YouTube
Grouchy-Fill1675@reddit
It's probably just something to help pad the time before the new series with the new hosts. Something to keep the name fresh in algorithm.

Don’t blame them, blame Amazon’s very good lawyers.
