They also did a body swap.
Something like 700 Ukraninan bodies for 42 Russian ones. Same ratio as all the previous body swaps.
Ukraine is definitely killing Russians at a 7-1 ratio though, just like the Western media keeps telling me.

Why is this place so weird about ukraine lmao
KJongsDongUnYourFace@reddit
Because 'Russia bad' is far more important that critical thought.
So much so that any criticism of Ukraine must equal pro Russia

I don’t give a fuck about russias ideology, ukraines ideology, the wests ideology, literally the only thing I care about is that there is a war going on causing immense material devastation to the lives of millions of peopl
KJongsDongUnYourFace@reddit
Well both Russia and Ukraines idealogy are key aspects as to why the war continues
fretnbel@reddit
It ain’t that hard. Russia attacks and occupies place, Ukrainians retreat. Not everyone can be retrieved. Body stays behind. Russians find the body. There, see. It ain’t that hard.

But Russia is also not claiming territory according to Western media. They are getting trounced by Ukraine, losing soldiers 7-1 not taking territory, and will conquer Europe once they are done with Ukraine.
SurturOfMuspelheim@reddit
I love the whole "they are decrepit and weak, but they will also conquer us all if we don't massively increase our military and blockade and sanction them" propaganda aimed at Russia, Iran and China.
Kelak1@reddit
"Look at em, they can't even defeat a tiny little country like Ukraine, haha"
"Poland is next if we don't stop them now. Russia is a threat to all of Europe"
KJongsDongUnYourFace@reddit
And yet even during Ukrainian advancments these ratios stayed the same.
Front lines gave been more or less static now for a year so that logic no loger checks out.
If Ukraine was killing Russians at the rates they and the West claims, we wouldn't be getting 100 to 1 exchanges for 3 straight years

Apparently just the first stage of the 1000 prisoner trade Trump declared in order to get Zelensky his 3 day ceasefire.
I still want to know exactly what Zelensky needed the extra two days for - he was really adamant about that and tried to force it himself before Russia refused and Trump had to make it happen for Zelensky. There had to be some specific reason he wanted the extra two days of no attacks - either moving something through the country or moving supplies and men to the front lines.
Silver_Middle_7240@reddit
He may simply have felt he needed to get something out of the negotiation.
imunfair@reddit
No, because he tried to force it two days before the Russian declared ceasefire day for their holiday parade. And then when that didn't work Trump suddenly unilaterally declared a 3-day ceasefire for the parade day and the following two days, along with the prisoner trade. So clearly there was a desire for specifically three days on the Ukrainian side, for some reason.
