The mandatory paid internship is a solid point in its favor too, but that housing situation you mentioned? Even with the subsidies, Paris can be brutal to live in if you’re not prepared for the chaos of finding a place, especially around UPEC which isn’t exactly top tier for business. French is probably going to help long term in Paris, but if you’re already EU dual and can get decent Dutch going, Antwerp feels more manageable day-to-day. If you plan to bounce back to Canada, French might be more useful but consider whether you’ll really be fluent by the time you finish.
