Burnout close to PPL checkride

Throwaway account.. but is it common to be burnt out approaching a checkride? I have about 65 hours and am 1.5 months in on waiting for a checkride due to weather cancellations that keep pushing it out. I’m getting so burnt out from trying to stay locked in with my ground knowledge that I’m reaching the point where most nights I don’t even study or review. Any tips or advice to help overcome this rut?

Burnout as a student pilot? I understand checkrides are stressful…. But arguably the private pilot test is just the beginning and things get harder and more complicated going forward. Checkrides are a fact of life as a pilot. There alot of idiots that are professional pilots (some that even believe that the earth is flat, yes you read that right) and my take has always been if they can do it so can I…You gotta figure out a way to get it under control and perform. I’ve taken checkrides all the way through the commercial level and beyond and I still shit bricks before a ride lol. What I find when it comes to studying is controlled consistent studying daily. Even if it’s just for 30-40 min. The compounding effect over the course of the months adds up. Also, you’re never going to be perfect. I think on every checkride I’ve made some mistakes but I’ve always figured it out and have never given up. Always fight for every knot of airspeed and foot of altitude and I’ve been fine to pass the rides all on the first try. The examiner isn’t looking for perfection but always be consistently within the standards.

Why do you need to study every night for an undetermined checkride date?
You might be putting undue pressure on yourself for no reason. Just relax. Browse the information periodically while you work to set an actual checkride date.
