Hi everyone :)
Im planning to upgrade my pc now been 2 years since my last gpu upgrade. Right now my specs :
Ryzen 5 3600
B350m msi bazooka
Rx 6800
16gb ram 3600mhz
600w psu be quiet system power u9
1080p 144hz panel.
Planning to upgrade the panel to 1440p high refresh rate monitor, what do you guys think? Im still waiting for good news from ryzen 7 5700x3d for the price to come down.

RX6800 + 5700X3D would be a killer mid‑gen combo, but PSU headroom might be tight if you OC.

I actually upgraded my system from a Ryzen 3600 to a Ryzen 5900xt for $240 from Amazon Resale. (sigh... my local Microcenter actually a used Ryzen 5900xt for $200 right now).
Going from a Ryzen 3600 (Zen 2 with 6 cores / 12 threads) to a Ryzen 5900xt (Zen 3 with 16 cores / 32 threads) feels like a moderate upgrade to gaming performance and a HUGE upgrade to productivity tasks, including video editing and AI workloads.
I have 32 GB of DDR4 4000mhz RAM in my system, which I am thankful for since I often times find myself using up 25-30 GB of memory.

the 6800 handles 1440p well so the monitor upgrade makes sense now. 5700x3d is the right cpu target, ryzen 3000 to 5000 on the same am4 board is a clean upgrade nd the 3d cache helps at 1440p. worth waiting for the price to drop a bit before pulling the trigger

There is a chance AMD is re-releasing the 5800x3d. If that happens I'd grab one of those and try to get one of the RX 9000 cards.

I think you can wait a very, very long time for the price of the 5700x3D to come down. With the current ram prices, it’s one of the best upgrades without having to buy ram. It’s not being produced so people selling them second hand can ask a lot for them.

U gonna be waiting for a long time, best bet is to get 5500x3d until its not discontinued
