But why it seems that all my APC UPS always fail between 1 and 4 am?
I’m talking about the ES and similar home models types.
I have observed this behavior for over 10 years on different models.
On another note, any Mac friendly UPS brands that provide proper software suite?
APC doesn’t provide such option.

It's the temperature drop at night. But also I replace batteries every 1-2 years because they go bad.
I wouldn't worry about UPS software, macOS tells you all the same info Linux will tell you in the "System Report" app if you go to UPS in that.

forgot to add, its always the batteries reported as being bad, but looks like their self test is at around that time.
But since this particular model is attached to a mac and a synology, i cant really check the battery status besides the blinking light on the unit itself.

Get a decent one with a software suite. Check the power input logs. It Could be dirty power. Try a surge block on the outlet before the battery.

i’m looking at powerspec ups, since they have a mac vers7of their suite.

Check your self test schedule. I had an ups in my homelab fail in the middle of the night because the self test schedule was something like 2am. I changed it to be less frequent, and at like 10am on a weekday.

the problem is, the ups that i currently have, its connected to a Mac and a synology nas and APC doesnt have a proper support software suite for either.
