I have a 2GB Radeon R9 720 with an i3 and 8GB DDR3 on one PC here.. put in a 512GB HDD and turned it into a Steam PC for fun with Arch and Steam. Have run SWTOR and LOTRO, GW2 wouldn't install unless I used an SSD, but after that it worked fine.
You'll need 8GB at least, you can use it to try and install arch or something just for the experience.

I used to have an RX 550 and it only consumed 50 watts, probably the best choice for you. I was happy with it.

Perhaps a Quadro P400 or P600. Those go for about 30 to 40 USD on eBay last I checked. Lots of video outputs and low power.

rx 6400 is the best of those three nd has a no 6 pin version, runs off pcie slot power alone nd fits ur 180w psu. the i3 4130 will bottleneck it in newer games but for older titles nd casual gaming itll work. make sure u add ram too, 2gb ddr3 will hurt more than the gpu

Perhaps upgrade to 4790K and 16GB DDR3. Then add a used 980Ti. Then I wonder how much could you game on that. Perhaps old games from pre-2017 times?
Therefore, I'd suggest a full system upgrade. Perhaps get a AM4 based system with used components.

Dude , before wven thinking of games, what operating system (windows) are you wanting to run, because it won't be modern.

RTX3050 6GB with only 75w require power only from MB, probably can be undervolted to 60w or so.

1650 no 6pin probably safest choice tbh
but honestly SSD + more ram will change the pc more than the gpu 😭 HDD + 2gb ram in 2026 is suffering

Are you wanting this to run games? And you have to figure out how many watts everything is going to pull first then find out if you have enough watts on the psu.
It might be that you will need more ram around 16 gigs as well.
