This case and the way it's been reported is interesting none the less.
So the Indian outlets report that this guy, actually states his age of 29 years of age and the immediate comments below talk about how this kid is in fact being executed for being gay instead.
Just to put into perspective,if you ever read Western media they literally never state the ages of the victims of the Israeli and US military.
Stating their age is a form of humanising the subject.

Question, to basically call out the double-standards: why is it *alleged*?
To clarify that something is an allegation is done in media to make it clear that there has been no formal conviction.
The moment someone *is* convicted, it stops being an allegation.
So why stick to the alleged if not to try and imply that Iranian justice cannot be trusted?

"alleged" is mostly used in journalism to avoid legal liability. If they'd said he was definitely committing espionage then there's always a chance of them being sued by his family for deformation or libel, which is a headache nobody wants.
