I don't care about the war.
I don't care about Ukraine, and I don't care about Russia. I barely care about the country that I live in.
It makes me sick to my stomach to see people demonizing Russian soldiers though. You people that do this have no idea what their government has told them, or what Ukrainian people have done to affect their lives. You can't walk in their shoes, all you can do is trust whatever the government/media tells you is true without thinking: "with as many lies have come out in the last centuries about what governments do to drive their own agendas, why should we still leap into battlefields?"
I have my own opinions, just as everyone should be entitled to. I think the boogyman of WoMD is a scam to influence sheepish people into supporting death far far away. I would also, perhaps, be more willing to support the military of the U.S. (where I live) if veterans were taken care of like they should be by the government for life. Instead, they see the initial investment of gear and training and disregard the mental health destruction they deal with for the rest of their life and the lives they impact.
Wake up, learn to step away from supporting wars... specifically foreign wars.

You need to go tell all this to the Russians. They are the ones that are invading their neighbor, bombing civilians, raping toddlers, torturing captives, beheading soldiers, kidnapping children and much much more. They are the ones that started this war. They are the only people on Earth that support this war. The rest of the world wants peace.
You want people to step away from supporting war? Go talk to the Russians, because the rest of the world is already with you.

Every soldier that died in this war is worthy of honor and respect. They all gave their lives in service to their country. Nevertheless, only Russia can end this war. Brave Russian and Ukrainian soldiers will continue to be slaughtered by the hundreds every day until it ends.
For Russia, this war means more land and more resources. A loss means returning to the status quo.
Ukrainians are fighting for their homes and for their own lives and the lives of their families. A loss means everybody either dies on the battlefield, gets bombed in their homes, or sent off to a filtration camp.
There is no moral equivalence here. We will have no headspace for sympathy toward the meat caught in the grinder until after this war is over. Putin has no sympathy for them, why should we?
Like I said before, tell it to the Russians.

Well, Russia has security interests and the issue wasn't settled before. It just escalated but not from zero. Generally of course both sides lose life's for some strategic games.

Russia settled the matter of Ukraine's borders and sovereignty when they signed the Budapest Memorandum. If Russia had unresolved issues, the time to settle them was back then.

Actions of induvidual soldiers doesnt reflect on the whole army. In the end its war, people die, brutal or less brutal. And the Ukrainians did just as many war crimes, executed bunch of russian pows, there are many such clips.

The pro war crowd here knows the peacekeepers are the good guys. It just pisses them off that the good guy win this time instead of the continued cycle of nato terrorizing nations and cia/mi6 overthrowing governments. It gave the pro war crowd as sense of imperial superiority. Hence the gnashing of the teeth and crocodile tears because how dare those eastern people get uppity and destroy foundations of global terrorism that was founded by SS and carried on proudly by nato cabal.
Mention Operation Gladio and they cheer and hoot about all the dead and nations terrorized for attempting to act sovereignly.
Last but not least you will see their talking points change weekly and they all repeat those debunked talking points ad nauseam as a choir.

Now NATO is on your eastern boarder with Finland which wasnt the case before the war. Mostly they didnt join was to appease Russia. Now theyre in.

I dont think we will agree and thats ok. But im fascinated to hear this sort of opinion.
Especially if youre a younger male in Russia. Seeing how its quite likely youll be in Ukraine in the next couple years having to fight.
And just so you know. The US isnt in the war until the planes start flying. Im talking hundreds striking damn near 24 hours a day. Thats not whats happening yet and prolly wont for a couple years if at all. Unless Russia fucks up and sends a missle into poland or something.

"Peace keepers" what does that even mean anymore, Do you know many Russian soldiers believe that NATO is always preparing to attack them and pushing for the Ukraine to join NATO before the Russian invasion was a multi agreement violation (YES Joe Biden and the EU were doing that) ...
in the early 1960's JFK took the world to the brink of destruction to stop the USSR from putting Nuclear missiles in Cuba 100KM off the Florida coast.
but Yet when the USA pushed for the Ukraine to join NATO and you know if it ever happened there will be nuclear missiles 20 meters off the Russian borders.
NATO has stated "we have no intention at the present time to put missiles in the Ukraine" right until 20 seconds after the ceremony when they DO HAVE INTENTION..
NATO should have dissolved in 1990's when the cold war ended, if the wanted to establish a better version SO BE IT, and include all of Europe and pull the Russians in.

I could care less about the war. But for some reason, I care less about Ukraine than I do Russia. Ukraine has a pathetic, weak man of a president always begging US for help while the US drowns in debt and the country is going to shit just because they want to help everyfuckingone else except their own people.
