Theater's should have two separate rooms for each movie, a "loud room" where you can be loud and audibly react, and a "quiet room" where you are expected to be quiet

I know this isn't racist, but it could so easily be misunderstood to be racist... Low key, this is a great idea. Im old af and can't stand opening weekends because of how loud people get. Love my quiet matinee movies, but if I could go to a theater where everyone is just gonna stfu and watch (within reason) I'd pay extra for a quiet theater. I just know that disturbing the quiet theater would become the new tik tok meme though.

Honestly I like this idea. Especially for old movies they bring back for limited runs. Sell a few normal screenings then one "loud" screening where it's just expected you're gonna say whatever you want.

In college, they would show movies in the big math lecture hall, one quiet showing at 7 and a loud one at 11. Honestly the ones at 11 were much more fun. I saw Team America: World Police that way!

Depends on the movie. I could see that one being fun being loud, but most horror movies do not do well with a running audience commentary.

Sounds like you're room 7 for one and 11 for the other

...Isn't this just racial segregation?

Class, not race.

That’s a pretty racist comment

Humans should be divided into two separate groups: those who know how to use an apostrophe and those who don't.

This is why I don’t go to the theater to watch movies anymore. Went after years of never going because I wanted to see the Demon Slayer movie in the theater for my birthday. We were 3 weeks after release so no big crowds, but a group of teens and a mother with all her kids and nieces and nephews kicked my seat until we moved down a row. Then the teens yelled through the entire finale and talked over the quiet, emotional climax absolutely ruining everything.

It’s usually segregated by time in theaters near me. Prime time showings on the first couple weekends of a movie’s run for loud audiences. Literally any other showing for quiet audiences.

Just make all theater rooms quiet rooms.

I feel like the loud room would turn into a live twitch chat.
Liraeyn@reddit
Some have showings where noise is allowed

And a theatre room where you can watch the movie!

I like this idea!
