My pizza thrower

Does anyone else have an old toy they haven’t thrown away? The motor on this hasn’t worked in years, but that Christmas memory of opening this in 1990 will never die.

OMG you just unlocked a flood of memories
We were dirt poor growing up, but somehow I still had every Ninja Turtles, GI Joe, He-Man, Super Soakers, Nintendo games, etc. We’d get to pick out whatever we wanted from the Sears Christmas Wish Book. But I also lived in a rusty old trailer on my step-grandparents dairy farm. We never went on vacation or really had much of anything “fancy”.
I never put 2 and 2 together until I was a grownup and learned that my step-grandparents sold most of their dairy herd every fall to pay for me and my two cousins to have, almost literally, a perfect Christmas every year.

I still remember playing with this thing on Christmas morning. Really wanted the blimp but alas, never got it

I still have Krang and his body. Actually had both the body and his bubble walker.

I wanted this so bad!! My mom was very gender oriented though, and I was a girl. Apparently, girls aren't allowed to play with Ninja Turtles.

Sorry. I would have let you play with this one if I knew ya!

Whoa 🤯 memory unlocked

Love this thing. Still have mine. I’d open the drawers of my desk and clothes and assign points for which one you could make the pizza land in. I got pretty accurate with that thing.

I would have oh so many wonderful things - if my parents hadn't gotten rid of them. Proper old Tonkas like you see on the restoration channels on YouTube, a full Gen 1 set of TMNT figures, The Real Ghostbusters Ecto-1 with an intact blaster seat belt Gen 1 Transformers, Insecticons, Dinobots, a Go-bot or two...
No, I'm not bitter about it at all.
Mischievous_Redja@reddit
Had the original Optimus Prime with the trailer attachment 🥲
I'm now wishing iI didn't look at the prices they are going for 💀.

I had this toy too…lost to history

Yeah, I don't look up a lot of things these days. My parents had quite a few 39oz Folgers coffee cans - because they were good for storing stuff. Well, one day after my father passed, my aunt and mother threw away over a dozen (closer to 20) of them.
As you might know, there's a little movie, has a bit of a cult status, called The Big Lebowski that features such a can in a pivotal scene. These would have been all period correct for the movie prop.
Hundreds of dollars, that she could have used, tossed in the trash.

Why am I going to use this on others is what you should be asking yourself. I know I am.

That or go slam a slice bro!

I thought I was the only kid with this! I wanted the turtle van. But my parents got me the pizza shooter.
gerardkimblefarthing@reddit
I popped it off the wheeled base to make it a stealth weapon in the neverending war against my brothers.

We used to see who could take them to the forehead. What a fun toy.

Oh hell yeah. Those micro-plastic pizza discs ended up everywhere.
