The early seasons were not kind to our favorite android...

Dr Pulaski drew the short straw if you ask me. She already had big shoes to fill in Beverly's absence, and being an advocate of biological medicine and well-being she ended up being the only available crew member to play devil's advocate for this single episode.
She was great as a counterpart to Worf, but that hardly ever gets brought up. I confess it took me plenty of time to warm up to her for this exact reason! She's had plenty of great moments and I enjoyed her smartass demeanor.
Bruce Maddox threatened Data's right to exist and nobody talks as much crap about him as they do about Dr Pulaski.

imo they wanted to recreate McCoy Spock dynamics with Data and Pulaski, it required time to settle but they replaced Pulaski with Baverly after a season so we couldn't see the best of her.

I honestly wish they kept Pulaski AND Beverly around. Not that I'd want some kind of rivalry between them but if they were friends I think they'd have an amazing dynamic!

The Klingon love poetry scene was great.

Because Maddox was supposed to be an antagonist. Pulaski is supposed to be one of the good guys.

If you actually watched TNG you would learn that behaviour like this is inappropriate. Try to act better, do better, make better choices.

Consider this in the context of how people react to artificial intelligence today
Ahielia@reddit
The llms are not intelligent, just regurgitating stuff that's been fed into it when prompted.
MindlessNectarine374@reddit
They are able to produce long texts already. I am pretty sure that there already are much AI music and AI books out there.
Ahielia@reddit
Do they do it on their own, or when prompted?
Seems I have a vastly different definition of "intelligence" than most who argue llms are ai.

I'm now envisioning Pulaski calling Data a clanker.

Tbh I act the same way, kinda annoying how people act about AI. Its clearly a bigoted opinion but because AI now doesnt look like a person people dont give a shit. If you like the idea of Data then you cant hate AI because thats the ultimate end goal of AI.
All I know is that if the robot apocalypse happens like people fear I'll be fine since I was nice to them. LMAO /j

At least Data was a good character almost from the start. The rest of the crew were smug buffoons at first. It's amazing to see them act like bumbling idiots and to think that they will become a main example of competency porn by season 3.

If Data has a million fans, then I am one of them. If Data has ten fans, then I am one of them. If Data has only one fan then that is me. If Data has no fans, then that means I am no longer on earth. If the world is against Data, then I am against the world.

Bro FOR REAL. I just watched episode 1 of season 2 and the new doctor immediately became my least favorite. While she did have a few interesting and funny lines to data, her overall demeanor towards him in the episode made me hate her already.

Freaking Pulanski!
