You are doing brilliantly. Owning your car outright and having thirty thousand pounds in savings at twenty six is a massive achievement. Given that you have built this stability entirely on your own without a safety net you should be incredibly proud of your discipline. Your pension is the only area to focus on for the future but you are already miles ahead of most people your age

Unless your planning on buying a house soon, you should put more in your pension or s&s ISA. £10k emergency fund seems a bit excessive for a single guy.

That’s amazing, especially considering your background! You are beating so many odds and thriving, well done. 👏🏼

My man, at 26 your in a much better position financially wise than most 40 YO I know lol. Most people i know dont have a 10k emergancy fund. They barely have 1k in an emergancy fund. Keep at it, your winning life by the looks.

You're doing so ok that I would suggest buying instead of renting. Get yourself on the ladder and if you meet someone in the future you can always sell and find somewhere bigger 👍

You’re doing fine, read this forum for a while and you’ll see that anyone with positive total net worth is in a great position. Keep doing what you are doing. Look for opportunities for promotion as you go.
