[PISTOL] Beretta 92XI Squalo 9mm Optic Ready Pistol with Custom Hogue Grips - $675 After prepaid card Rebate or $575 After Beretta Bucks rebate

$100 back with prepaid card rebate
$200 back with Beretta credit rebate
TheMoves@reddit
I mean it's not really 575 after the Beretta Bucks because you don't actually get any money back you just get Beretta store credit. You lose the full amount of money and none of it comes back, you just get to play the "wait I don't actually need anything else from the Beretta Store" game if you end up getting the rebate at all. The prepaid card is legit money back at least.
Subverto_@reddit
The Beretta store runs 25% off deals pretty regularly which makes the stuff cheaper than retailers.
Booga-_-@reddit
But do they do that within the time the beretta Vbucks are valid?
KaputtEqu1pment@reddit
Just gotta wait till they do a 40% off thing
WarlockEngineer@reddit
Yeah the vbucks last a long time
My $200 got me a threaded barrel and a holster shipped
HyperbaricGasChamber@reddit
Only thing worth it in the beretta store is the threaded barrels or competition holsters
Temporary_Traffic622@reddit
They got some nice leather holsters
NismoZR@reddit
They run deals on mags sometimes too
caterham09@reddit
You can take either $100 on a visa card or $200 beretta store credit.
Flashy-Code-8096@reddit
Maybe I haven’t held one that’s been slicked up proper but every single SAO 92 I’ve ever held has been so fucking mid it’s insane. How you take a gun with one of the best da triggers and mediocre sa triggers and decide you should remove the da idk
PizzaPastaRigatoni@reddit
I bought the Corsa and it sucks so bad. It’s like an airsoft trigger. I don’t know how they messed it up this bad. I paid $900 for it and I still overpaid. One of the worst guns in its price point for sure, especially at full price.
BenDover42@reddit
Try taking the grip off of the right side and dry firing and see if it improves. If so you’ll need to fit the grip by sanding a little. It’s annoying but I’ve seen this happen on several berettas.
PizzaPastaRigatoni@reddit
Wait the grip is affecting the trigger pull?
BenDover42@reddit
It can be I’m not saying it is. But I’ve seen it happen. Remove the panel on the side where the trigger bar is and dry fire and see if it improved without the panel on it. If it is you need to sand/file the grip down some.
PizzaPastaRigatoni@reddit
Doing it now, will report back.
BenDover42@reddit
Hopefully that’s the issue and it’s fixed.
PizzaPastaRigatoni@reddit
It was not unfortunately 😂 the trigger just sucks on mine.
CowboyHP@reddit
This is what I assumed happened on mine, but there was little difference with the RH grip off. I did take a light file to some edges in the grip panel to clearance, but greasing the sear faces and contact surfaces made a night-to-day difference.
BenDover42@reddit
Yeah although my new M9a4 has a better factory trigger bar than my 92FS which I put an LTT in, the LTT is still a better pull. But it’s pretty dang close considering all the parts in the trigger job for the newer berettas imo.
Cheap-Invite-4955@reddit
I bought one when they came out for $1k (lmao) and it was ass. It choked on federal & winchester 124g ammo and just felt clunky. Idk what Beretta did but they took a great design and flubbed it.
Jason1435@reddit
Hot take I guess but DA is just a feature for people too scared of SAO to carry that way yet too cool or too afraid of striker fire guns despite most having 3 internal safeties.
Like, why would I want a gun that shoots two different ways, and the first and most important shot of my life in self being the most awful trigger pull of my life?
Guess it's just me but I've always found DA a solution to a problem that doesn't really exist and makes shooting worse. 🤷
GoldfishDude@reddit
There's a good chance that if you have a round not go bang the first time, hitting it again with the hammer will cause it to go off.
Also some competition divisions require your gun be DA/SA if it's hammer fired. Striker fired guns are meh
Jason1435@reddit
I guess, but ruining 100% of your first shots fired for a 0.001% chance (unless your running some cheap Turkish steel case FMJ for defense ammo for some reason) seems like a weird feature when it's probably not gonna go off the second time anyways. Tap rack is probably always the better solution to get it out of the gun.
caterham09@reddit
Or you can put a minimal amount of practice into the firearm so that you are still accurate with double action.
Jason1435@reddit
Minimal is actually double, because if you want to be proficient in both you should train both equally, which actually means twice as much total training. Even if that exaggeration was over the top, it's still a weird handicap your placing on yourself over the oddity of not trusting a striker fired gun with consistent pull weight on every shot. I understand to each their own, but I'm NOT making the most important shot of my life in self defense excessively heavy because that can pull me off target, all over a safety feature that you really don't need with modern striker fires.
NismoZR@reddit
LTT double action is nearly the same weight as a Glock trigger, I can shoot my LTT 92 at 50+ yards in double action fast enough and accurate enough that if I ever have to use it in a real self defense situation I’m not worried about it one bit. Dry fire.
Jason1435@reddit
A tuned out custom trigger shouldn't make the basis for all DAs, or even just an average DA. Especially since your comparing a LTT to a stock Glock, which is the worst stock trigger.
Let's take some stock trigger DAs for example P30 - 11-12lbs P226 - 10-12lbs P09 nocturne - 9-11lbs Beretta 92 - 10-12 lbs
I get the concept but these numbers are terrible and only a custom trigger job makes them equal to the worst striker fire trigger? That's gross.
GoldfishDude@reddit
Being fair, weight isn't the only way to measure if a trigger is good. A smooth 10lb trigger is better than a gritty, vague 6lb
NismoZR@reddit
Anyone who complains about a DA/SA trigger is lacking skill, it’s not for everyone. I think forget that you can leave it in SA if you want a short crisp and light trigger pull.
GoldfishDude@reddit
I'm not disagreeing with that, hell one of my carry guns is a DA only S&W Airlite, and I've shot competitions with a CZ-75
NismoZR@reddit
The weight of the trigger is comparable to the Glock, but there is no question that the DA on a LTT is smoother than a Glock trigger lmao.
Flashy-Code-8096@reddit
Agreed, double action being “hard” is a cope for having poor trigger control. Double action isn’t as accurate for me but I can still hit what I’m aiming at and that’s what counts
caterham09@reddit
I don't think it's as accurate for the majority of people, at least not when they are shooting quickly. But you should still be on target. It's really not hard to shoot double action
GoldfishDude@reddit
You can also just run a DA/SA gun in single action (a lot of DA/SA guns are designed to be carried cocked and locked). I don't know why you are acting like you have to use the DA feature every time.
I've had quite a few rounds go off the 2nd time being hit, and one instance of a stuck case completely locking up the gun/making tap rack impossible, however a 2nd attempt at firing got everything working again. Admittedly this was with a 9mm 1911, so
caterham09@reddit
Counterpoint, why would I want a gun that didn't go bang if I pulled the trigger because the safety was on in a life or death situation?
Both DA and SA have their merits.
Jason1435@reddit
A striker fired with just the trigger safety would do a better job
NothingButACasual@reddit
"trigger safety" is not a safety
Jason1435@reddit
Fun fact, it actually is, as it prevents the trigger from moving unless depressed, and thus saves the gun from discharging when dropped. Hence what happened with the p320 where the drops were enough to pull the trigger.
You need the firing pin block to stop the striker from moving without command, and you need the trigger safety to stop the trigger from moving without command.
There's a reason the 1911 had the grip safety and not just the manual safety, because without it, it's not drop safe and falling on the beaver tail could cause the trigger to pull. Unfortunately series 70 didn't have a firing pin safety and those are still not drop safe from barrel drops.
CowboyHP@reddit
My Corsa was horrid when I received it. Like 1/4” of gritty, inconsistent pull with a mush wall. So bad I thought maybe they forgot to mill out the grip panel for the trigger bar entirely. I stripped the gun completely, degreased and regreased with TW25B, and reassembled. The trigger is very good now. It’s not P226 X5 or 1911 good, but nice consistent take up with a crisp break. I honestly think the factory lube job is just shit. I’m very happy with my Corsa now.
the_bakeshow@reddit
I also bought a SAO and was super confused when the trigger on this was worse than some double actions on other pistols. It’s just so mushy
Flashy-Code-8096@reddit
It’s like they somehow took an HK single action trigger, removed the double action and said fuck you give us money
zuntakapokoten@reddit
Hey u/salesbereli, my 92x rebate got rejected, can I email for help on getting the info beretta rebates needs?
UgliestCookie@reddit
Did they give you a reason for the rejection? Curious what to avoid when I submit mine.
zuntakapokoten@reddit
Beretta rebates corrected it for me.
But it said my rebate photo needed: Retail Name, Date of Purchase, Serial Number, AND proof of payment. Just make sure when Bereli sends the firearm that the receipt is shipped with those details.
https://imgur.com/a/56YrH0i
UgliestCookie@reddit
Appreciate the reply. Are they wanting to see the serial number on the actual purchase confirmation/shipping email from the vendor?
zuntakapokoten@reddit
You'll hear different submission documents working from other people but what got me approved was sending a photo of the physical receipt that came shipped in the box... I can't say whether a screenshot of an online email receipt with the serial will work or not, but the whole process is really a headache haha.
UgliestCookie@reddit
Yeah, I kind of gather that too. Kind of seems like it's a dealer's choice based on whoever is reviewing the submission. Lol
Pagani1000@reddit
So, on the contrary from what everyone else is saying, I own this and I love it. Grossly overpaid for mine, but for what it is its really nice to shoot. I do use it in Limited Optic. Acouple upgrades such as the dlah optic plate and trigger stuff from Langdon. As a SAO its really nice to shoot if anything alot better than just the regular 92XI. Now is it better than a traditional 92? YMMV. In some aspects, yes. I own acouple 92s, but I shoot this one way more. With its current pricing and beretta rebate, it's BIN, imo.
stewpock1@reddit
I recently bought the 92xi SAO tactical. Looking online there doesn’t seem to be a difference between that gun and this one beside the magwell, grips, and magazines. Am I missing something? I already bought the dlah plate it’s taken almost 3 weeks to get it. I really only want the grips off this gun I can’t find them anywhere online. I heard the ones on the squalo and corsa are slippery.
CommanderShepardFTW@reddit
I want to know if there’s any difference in the triggers too! Best I can tell they’re the same like you said above. You can get pretty similar grips from LOK, I wouldn’t pay $600 for grips.
jay_kay25@reddit
It says the rebate ends May 15th. If I purchase today, does it qualify?
joman8390@reddit
u/salesbereli can we get a deal on the 92 GTS?
YERAFIREARMS@reddit
I have already got the GTS on the super deal. I am also considering getting this one too.
joman8390@reddit
Where did you find a GTS super deal?
YERAFIREARMS@reddit
Blackhawk armory a while ago. It came with holster and range back both from Beretta.
caterham09@reddit
Bought a GTS special edition for my wife. Lovely gun. I overpaid but it's worth it
RegardedDipshit@reddit
FYI I believe this is not actually a stainless finish, it's rattle-canned 'stainless-like' finish. AKA kinda trash
caterham09@reddit
Fwiw the only 92s that are stainless are the inox (which still has an aluminum frame) or the 92x.
UgliestCookie@reddit
Are you thinking of a different model? Mine is cerakoted a dark grey color and the finish is actually very nice. The other 92XI models with the camo are indeed awful. My Tactical XI has a more stainless looking color and while it's not 'trash' it's pretty underwhelming.
RegardedDipshit@reddit
I haven't seen this exact model fwiw, but have heard multiple other people mention it and said it was pretty bad. If you see a stainless looking gun, you don't expect it to be cerakoted.
UgliestCookie@reddit
Yeah, I agree that the ones that have that light silver are a bit of a bait and switch because you're expecting stainless. This one, in hand, looks badass. Only reason my M9A4 edges it out in appearance in my opinion is because of the A4s bronze ano frame looking way more premium. Time will tell how well the finish wears on the squalo though.
YERAFIREARMS@reddit
That is below distributor price
Automatic_Farmer_591@reddit
Is this bin?
ThisLuckLmao@reddit
Any reason to buy this when I got the PCO?
PizzaPastaRigatoni@reddit
No. I own the comped version of this. It sucks.
dicklibby@reddit
I was literally just looking for this pistol and knew Bereli had it the cheaper at like $879 or whatever. I’m looking around and refresh and see their price changed to $775. Was hoping to find a better deal and then that happened lol, was weird but felt like I won something 😂 still kicking myself for not getting one for $699 when I got a pco for $829 from gundealsusa. I do have the Bereli membership so it would $760 shipped here. Not the end of the world to pay the extra $60 for this I guess. Don’t even really need it but it’s a nice gun for the money
PutridDropBear@reddit
---- don't forget to cup the bereli balls bro ----
$799 is the normal street price for this Squalo .... for anyone not turfing/shilling for these guys
Berry_Micockiner@reddit
I heard he zips ups and buttons the Berelli pants when he’s done
dicklibby@reddit
I’m not shilling for these guys lmao. I couldn’t care less where it comes from. If someone else has it cheaper, don’t hold out and let the sub know. Rebate window ends tomorrow so that’s why I was even looking today. Only even looking there because I already had the membership and knew it’s been cheapest there for a while other than the gundealsusa post a month back.
