I saw the post about the whale wall the other day. I unfortunately have some bad news.

I work over by the Hardwood district and take the train into work every day. After seeing the post here, I decided to take a very small detour and check it out.

100% paint. The whale art is being destroyed before our very eyes.

I walled by at lunch. A reporter was there from NBC. There is a piece of equipment or a generator right there on the side so I hope they leave that part alone.

I’m going to bet it’s a going to be a new mural soon that could be for the World Cup games or something interesting for the tourism that they expect the games will bring to the city. I’m not saying the whales aren’t interesting, but maybe they think something with fresh paint would be better.
