Intune Deployment from Scratch

Hello; my team is a small team of 6 and we are looking to implement Intune to about 500 endpoints. I'm wondering if you guys have any good resources on deploying Intune for newbies who ever never used Intune before, or is the best advice to utilize what you can from learn.microsoft.com? Any guidance or assistance is appreciated!

Man I wish I could deploy intune from scratch with what I’ve learned fixing the mess I walked into at my job.

Microsoft offers a free service called Fast Track and help guide you through the process, other vendors like SHI offer this service as well if you are a customer of theres. Definitely Get Rubix on youtube has great videos to help.

If I could pin this comment I would 100% do so. I never heard of Fast Track but I looked into it and I think it's exactly what I needed! Thank you very much for that info!

I've used Fast Track before and they've been great. They held my hand through our InTune deployment and were extremely helpful.

"Get Rubix" on Youtube is what I used with no prior training on Intune to get it done in 3 & a half months for the exact scenario you said. I still have little bits and bobs left to do but Intune is working :D

Rubix is awesome. That channel helped me a lot during the implementation I did as well. Just as you have, I have a few bits and bobs left, but it's up and running pretty well for PC's. Still some work to do for tablets.

Thank you, I'll take a look at that channel!

I’ll help you if you like, as long as you’re happy to pay my consulting rate.

Looking to get hands on and learn on my own, appreciate the offer though.

Thats the best method... implement, fix it, break it, fix it.. It's a never ending project

Good point, I just like a little kick start or at least something to work off of. I've been in the industry for 3 1/2 years only and it's been at this one place. Never used Intune yet!

I just went though and set this all up myself at work. the Microsoft learn stuff is the way to go. Then set it up for a single device. Start with a phone as they are easier than laptops. Also look into the openintunebaseline, will make securing the end points take a lot less work.
If you are going to be using Intune for managing app deployment you want to look at something like patchmypc so you are not spending all your time updating apps.

Anyone have a good source for the mobile devices side?

https://www.zipsec.com/solutions/device-management worked for me and mine

Thanks, I'm not looking to simplify it or pay someone else. I'm wanting to take this knowledge further into my career and prefer to be hands on.
