EV trucks- the future?

Howdy guys! Just wondering how you guys feel about switching to electric trucks from Diesel? Have any of you done it? I’m in Asia, at the moment we don’t see them around yet.

EV trucks are going to be the standard in local delivery no problem. Once the relevant industries figure out how they want to address charging for OTR purposes, the trucks will be ready soon after. I would drive an EV truck in a heartbeat. They pull better, they’re quieter, and are inherently more driver friendly. There’s no downside once the technology and infrastructure are sufficient.

Local will switch over to them soon. They have the range and are magnitudes cheaper to run than Diesels.
OTR will switch eventually as the infrastructure changes to support it. I don't think an OTR company cares if you have to waste an hour or 2 charging if they can save money. Solid state batteries are close and this will fix range and charge times.
Tbh diesel costs a lot and there's really no solution besides either paying more at the pump or switching to EVs.

Thank you so much for your input! I guess that really is the direction we are all headed in.

As a local driver, Id absolutely be down for EV truck. Range would need to be 700 to 800 miles on a full charge for it to be worth it.
I work out of small satellite terminal, so it would be worth while for my company to install solar on the station roof, and charge our trucks that way. Our terminal generates over $90 million a year in revenue with only 7 drivers and 5 station workers.
