I used one as a daily driver out in the field for a couple of years. A wake up call to see it in the vintage computing sub. The power brick was literally the size of a brick. My username is the HP I had before this monster.

Hardly surprising, screen technology was still improving year on year, and the TX2000 had a touch screen as well which really did impact on the display at the time.
I had a TX2050EA for a while and it was a handy little machine for what I needed at the time.

I had an 8770w some years ago. It was a tank. My girlfriend once accidentally sat on it. To be fair, she wasn't huge or anything but that thing didn't get a scratch. When it got obsolete, it spent like two years sloshing around under my bed.
Absolute unit of a computer.
