If you can choose to live anywhere in your country, regardless of money/job, which would it be?

Also excluding family/friend ties (pretend they come with you if you’d like)

Boston, Plymouth, or Newport. I spent a week rambling around New England for my birthday lasy year, and I was completely charmed by the region. I also really liked Salem, but it seems more like a place to visit than a place to live, for me.

Hahaha

I’d live way in the rural desert area in the Southwest. I’m tired of living in big cities and love the quiet, open spaces, along with the hot weather.
Many-Rub-6151@reddit
I wouldn’t move. I don’t think it gets much better than Seattle
PorcelainPunisher1@reddit
Ooh, Seattle is such a wonderful city!
Many-Rub-6151@reddit
Been around the world these past few years after covid and want to live elsewhere for a little but I’m convinced I want to retire and die in Seattle lol. It’s just super green and lush while summers never get too hot because of Puget Sound.
ferrisbuellerspussy@reddit (OP)
I like Seattle a lot when I went.
Many-Rub-6151@reddit
Florida lol. Other side of the world. I like Miami but I couldn’t do the humidity year round.
ferrisbuellerspussy@reddit (OP)
Where I’m in northwest Florida it’s not as humid, in the hills by the beach. We had a blizzard last year and got 10 inches of snow.
matthewsmugmanager@reddit
Chicago. Luckily, I already live here!
PorcelainPunisher1@reddit
Aww, I lived there until I was in my late 20’s. Couldn’t wait to leave because of the weather, but now I miss it terribly. I still make it back a couple times a year to see family and go to a Cubs game or two.

Hawaii

This is the answer.
AnchBusFairy@reddit
Alaska where I'm living right now and have for the past 25 years..
Effective_Coach7334@reddit
one townhouse in NYC, and one in San Francisco, where I live.
front_torch@reddit
I don't understand the question.
Do I pretend my friend and family are around me every day?
Or
Do I force them to move to the same location I decide?
ferrisbuellerspussy@reddit (OP)
It is a rhetorical question
front_torch@reddit
Do you mean i have the same quality of life as if they're there?
ferrisbuellerspussy@reddit (OP)
Yes or better to suit your preference
front_torch@reddit
And I don't have to force my will upon my loved ones and make them move with me but won't miss them?
ferrisbuellerspussy@reddit (OP)
Whatever you prefer
front_torch@reddit
I want to be by my family and friends
Utterlybored@reddit
I have family here. That’s the most important thing.
DropTopEWop@reddit
A big ass ranch in Centeal Texas somewhere but not far from Austin
Sfswine@reddit
I’d move to another neighborhood, here in San Francisco, but don’t need to go too far -
Western-Finding-368@reddit
I might move to San Francisco if I could afford it. Beautiful temperature almost all year long, and decent salaries.
HoyAIAG@reddit
Little Italy in San Diego
john510runner@reddit
Chicago, Portland, Oregon or a different part of CA.
Lospoloshermanos1@reddit

Maine or Alaska. I want it cooler. Summer in central Appalachia is basically summer in a rainforest.
ferrisbuellerspussy@reddit (OP)
Would you want city or rural?
-thegay-@reddit
Just outside of a large town or small city would be my preference. Good air and plenty of room.
WoodpeckerDue7773@reddit
USA, I want to give it a try. I always love it when I go there for vacation haha. Not sure what state though
KevworthBongwater@reddit
Ive been to and liked a lot of places. I've lived in a lot of places. I'm comfortable in Minneapolis/St. Paul. but if money were no object I'd flip a coin between NYC and LA
assholetax21@reddit
Seattle area. It is breathtaking.

Connecticut or Maine

BlueFuzzyCrocs@reddit
Probably Alaska
front_torch@reddit
Would you bring friends and family because it was your will, as asked?
Or
Go on your own and virtually never see them again?
ferrisbuellerspussy@reddit (OP)
My answer: I’m originally from New Orleans and live in FL now, I love it here but it’s more affordable too, so if I lived in New Orleans and money wasn’t the issue, I could live in a nicer neighborhood and be close enough to visit FL often
thatoneguyfromva@reddit
Australia. I’d move there in a heartbeat.

I misread it too 😂 and I’m like, Not Here 😂

pomegranatesssss333@reddit
Probably Manhattan or Brooklyn, there are some nice areas in Queens too. I like the big city feel though.
National-Pressure202@reddit
Coming from Alaska…. I want warmer…. Probably California
BreadForTofuCheese@reddit
Particular neighborhoods in NYC, easily.
National-Pressure202@reddit
Spain is looking pretty nice atm… would be tempted to go to Poland (ancestry), but they still have ways to go still on LGBT rights. If I didn’t care so much about that (which I do), Germany because (for some reason) I have an easier time learning the language…
ferrisbuellerspussy@reddit (OP)

Popular-Local8354@reddit
I really liked the Kansas City area.
Or any of the New South cities.
