Build my first pc

Hi everyone, I’m looking to build a high-performance PC in the UK with a budget of around £400.
The Goal: I want a "nice" looking build (LEDs are a must!) that handles productivity and multitasking like a champ. I’m NOT a gamer sometimes , so I’m happy to use integrated graphics to save money. (I want to have the option)
Requirements:
RAM: I want 32GB DDR5. Can someone explain if DDR5 is worth the extra cost over DDR4 for my budget?
Motherboard/Future-Proofing: This is the most important part. I want a motherboard that I can keep for 3-5 years. If I want a better CPU later, I want to be able to just "slot it in" without replacing the whole board.
Storage/CPU: I’ve heard I should avoid 500GB SSDs and older i7s. Looking for 1TB+ and a modern CPU that matches the future-proof board.
Case: I’ve attached a photo of the "vibe" I want (white/LEDs/glass). I’m currently looking at a Corsair SPEC-05, but I'm open to suggestions for cases that fit the budget but look high-end.
What’s the best "performance-per-pound" list you can put together for me? Cheers

Bro, skip DDR5 for now. DDR4 is cheaper and still plenty fast for multitasking.

'£400' and 'high performance PC' don't really exist in the same sentence these days. You may wanna add another 0 to that budget.
Even a used PC with that amount might be a stretch.

You don’t stand a chance of a “high-performance pc” incl 32gb ddr5 for £400 mate. You can barely get the ram alone for that... Try £1500-2000 for what you’re after and if you want decent aesthetics be prepared to pay extra for that too.
