Help a beginner with pc

Hi everyone, I’m looking to build a high-performance PC in the UK with a budget of around £400.
The Goal: I want a "nice" looking build (LEDs are a must!) that handles productivity and multitasking like a champ. I’m NOT a gamer sometimes , so I’m happy to use integrated graphics to save money. (I want to have the option)
Requirements:
RAM: I want 32GB DDR5. Can someone explain if DDR5 is worth the extra cost over DDR4 for my budget?
Motherboard/Future-Proofing: This is the most important part. I want a motherboard that I can keep for 3-5 years. If I want a better CPU later, I want to be able to just "slot it in" without replacing the whole board.
Storage/CPU: I’ve heard I should avoid 500GB SSDs and older i7s. Looking for 1TB+ and a modern CPU that matches the future-proof board.
Case: I’ve attached a photo of the "vibe" I want (white/LEDs/glass). I’m currently looking at a Corsair SPEC-05, but I'm open to suggestions for cases that fit the budget but look high-end.
What’s the best "performance-per-pound" list you can put together for me? Cheers

Well, as the others said, 400 pounds is nowhere near a budget for a high performance pc. Go to any online retailer > pc components> ram > and filter by 32gb DDR5 and sort low to high price and then you can make your own conclusions.

First add a zero onto £400...

'£400' and 'high performance PC' don't really exist in the same sentence these days. You may wanna add another 0 to that budget.
Even a used PC for that amount might be a stretch.

£400 with 32gb ddr5 and a white rgb case is brutal. price an am5 8500g build first, then cut case bling before psu or the 1tb ssd.
